I concur with you, the basic mentality of the consumers is also the issue.Bro I am also son of farmer & all I know is they buy cheap from us & sell em very costly, it`s killing farmers as well as consumers..
when tomato price falls down, the consumer can buy 10 kgs for 20 rs in some period of a year, yet the consumer(our ladies) bargain and try to reduce the price further.
They never think of the real value of growing crops, they don't see the losses incured by some one to give the product at that price.
when a fixed price commodity like cinema, car, and other luxary item they just pay with out any questions asked.
Second important thing is the salary raise in India and other parts of the world is makeing the situation more worse.
When a software guy earns 1 lac per month and has a heavy spending capacity, the same kind of spending capacity is expected from a labour too. this are some of the bad policies of the government.
