GLD institute obtains 160-plus sci-tech achievements in five years
The Postdoctoral Sci-tech Working Station of an institute of the General Logistics Department (GLD) of the Chinese Peoples Liberation Army was officially established on January 12, 2011. At the same time, the station received 13 doctoral students entrance applications from such non-military colleges and universities as Tsinghua University and Xi'an Polytechnic University.
By taking the military-civilian integrated way in developing scientific research, we have obtained 160-plus scientific research achievements in the past five years, said Zhang Maogong, director of the institute with deep feeling.
According to Zhang Maogong, in view of the reality of more scientific research institutions around its institute, the institute volunteered to establish the military-civilian integrated developing pattern on jointly cultivating talents, using equipment together and sharing achievements, so as to realize the military-civilian integrated development of sci-tech research, information and measures.
The military-civilian integrated development pattern promoted the scientific research strength of the institute. A batch of key technological problems has been solved such as the integrated technology for driving bridge, and several scientific research achievements such as the all-terrain tracked water tanker" have been popularized and put into use.
