We are facing it and will come through it, it's you who are scared despite sitting miles away

This ain't anything close to what your nation has faced before. You really don't want to get in the way when major powers lock horns. Unfortunately, Pakistan seems to be booking her place as the platform for the showdown. The messiah complex usually doesn't wear off till certain death is foreseeable.

for my indian friends who're going gaga here in favor of Nawaz Sharif, care to explain on what grounds NS thinks giving gawadar to china isn't a good idea? He didn't explain it so i fail to understand why indians are favoring him without any details in hand?

because any person with some foresight will now give any part of his country to a foreign country. He will be happy when one country (US) pushes him off his lap and next day we are getting ready to jump in Chinese lap.

noora league key chamchey, noora has no foresight, Pakistan has no money to operate Port themselves nor is there any potential capable country to run it for you except for China. Noora should also remember it was a waste barren land, China paid $275M-$300M that is 70% of the cost to develop the Gawadar Port. Now are you going to return the $300M to China or not. Who do you think would be best to sit in their lap enlighten us.

Friends,

US says it knows better what's good for Pakistanis, Nawaz concurs, if you agree as well, then make your voice heard in the up coming election :

‘Pakistan has better options than Iran pipeline’

WASHINGTON: The United States says there are “better and more cost-effective” ways for Pakistan to address its energy needs than projects like the Pak-Iran gas pipeline.

“We understand that Pakistan has significant energy needs and requirements, but there are other long-term solutions to Pakistan’s energy needs that we believe would have better potential for success and better meet Pakistan’s needs than spending scarce resources on projects like this,” State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland told reporters at the daily press briefing on Thursday.

She was responding to a question about press reports that Pakistan would face US sanctions if it went ahead with the Pak-Iran pipeline project. “Let me just say broadly that we continue our dialogue with Pakistan with regard to Iran,” she said.

“We’ve made it clear to countries around the world, including Pakistan, that we believe that it’s in their interest to avoid activities that could be prohibited by UN sanctions or that could be sanctionable under US law.”

The United States, she added, was involved in many ways to help Pakistan address its energy needs, including ones that would add some 900 megawatts of power to the grid by 2013, enough power to supply an estimated two million households. However, she did not clear if the proposed gas pipeline came under sanctionable items. app

I have one. When is your nation ever going to grow a spine? Does national sovereignty mean anything to you guys or do you simply prefer to be sold from one client to another?

Its our land, our sovereignty, our will. What's the big fuss? China is our ally and giving guwadar to china serves pakistan well. There weren't any concerns when this piece of land was under Singapore's management for years, I guess "China" is what troubling you to digest.

Don't bring Iqbal into this, he died decades ago, while world politics change daily so policies are bound to change. What you suggest about alliance of NATO / EU, countries are busy sharing their laws, currencies etc so you can see the world's politics is fast changing. Also china is long ally of Pakistan and is far far better and trusted than US as an ally, then why shouldn't Pakistan further strengthen ties with china and make distance from US? I think its high time to do so as US is about to leave AFG soon. And above all, giving gawadar to china serves Pakistan best, to me its best possible option available right now.

Nawaz shareef has shown height of his vision and leadership. Chummi lay lon is bat pe uski aor phir sara din thu thu karta phiron!

Oh really? Then where are those so called Indian weapons? There are none. Period! This is all nonsensical propaganda that you guys are past masters at. Even the court didn't find any evidence and therefore let him off as he was proved innocent. NO such evidence was produced in court, as there wasn't any!

If you my friend, have ANY evidence of Indian arms supplied to the BLA/TTP etc, please post it here, otherwise just shut the heck up. The brainwashed rants and propaganda being spewed out by most of you is spectacular!

Right! The Chinese have already stationed 11,000 PLA troops in Gilgit/Baltistan with hundreds of Chinese workers for projects that would take the better part of a decade. The demography there is gradually being changed. It won't be long before the Northern Areas become another autonomous region of China like the TAR.

And now Gwadar has been handed over. What's next?

The moot question is as to why Pakistan itself cannot do what the Chinese are doing in Gwadar? Why can't they mange the port themselves? Why outsource such a strategic port to another country?

Any better options for energy needs of Pakistan will be if at all that will be a NUCLEAR DEAL with US without any Strings.

If US is willing to do that come forward we will do away with Iran-Pak pipeline.

otherwise US should STFU and anti-Shia nawaz should bang his balled head against the wall.

Right! The Chinese have already stationed 11,000 PLA troops in Gilgit/Baltistan with hundreds of Chinese workers for projects that would take the better part of a decade. the bigger moot question is why Indians are having mental masturbation over gawadar???
