2. CBI intervened because the ACCUSED asked for a fair CBI investigation since the local police was under pressure due to "dalit politics".

3. In Unnao the CBI was called by the UP govt. since their own MLA was involved. It was Yogi who asked for a CBI inquiry. But even before CBI arrived, the accused MLA was already in Jail.

4. Comparing Riots to Rape is like comparing apples to oranges.
Punishment should fit the crime and should be EFFECTIVE.
Making rioters pay for damage and knocking down their illegal houses is an EFFECTIVE DETERRENT. You are free to demand demolishing the house of rapists too. I just do not happen to agree with you.

Though I personally think law should follow Hindu code and consider the rape victim as 'wife" of the rapist and grant her HALF his property and maintenance for life without having to live with him or actually marring him.
She should then be free to marry anyone of her choice without loosing her right to alimony from the rapist.

104 phone calls does not mean you rape the girl with your uncles and friends. Those phonecalls prove nothing. The girl before her death gave a testimony she was raped and named the accussed. CBI intervened because everyone demanded justice when State Govt burned the body of victim in order to twist this into a honor killing. The narrative you have been trying to potray is the girl wasnt raped but its a case of honor killing which the CBI denies.

You can spin this to dalit politics but the fact is the village is heavily influenced by hindu racist caste system where upper caste hindu's are in majority.

In Unnao case CBI only came when the victims father gave his life asking for Justice. Before that Yogi wasnt even bothered to listen anything against his MLA. Its only when the father died and the whole nation came to know about it than to save his skin Yogi threw his MLA in jail.

A crime is a crime, wether its rape or riot. Khargone riot case is not related to illegal constrution but the State Govt bulldozed the muslim minority house without going to courts, accusing one community whereas stone throwing was done from both sides.

If rioters houses can be demolished to punish them without courts than rapists houses should be demolished to punish them without courts.

Why be a hypocrite?

Yes, Indian Judiciary has a soft corner for criminals.

After all This is what SC said to Mohammed Firoz after commuting his death sentence for raping and killed a 4 year old hindu girl.

Horrible Crime, but good to see the System work.

The police officer was removed and declared a criminal and had to abscond to escape arrest.

All other policemen in the station during the time of the crime was suspended and will probably be dismissed.

All this within a day of the crime coming to light.

No nation is without crime, but nations and states that take action against all criminals (in and out of uniform) has a brighter future.



Outrage is when the system fails, here the system worked.

System is NOT working. There are too many such crimes, not just in UP and elsewhere as well. If people cannot be safe with police that means checks and balances have eroded. Custodial deaths, police station rapes and other crimes involving police / law enforcement have been reported within past weeks IM TN, and two other states.

Some special action is required by Amit Shah the home minister that will apply across all states *even though police is a state subject.
