The best part of this story is that no American official is ever going to get close to any Pakistani American & raise the Kashmir issue from Pakistan's viewpoint. Pakistani money will be seen as tainted & is unlikely to be touched leaving the Pakistanis even more disadvantaged. Add to that the fact that Indian Americans will be seen as a safer source of funding & the state of Pakistani-U.S. relationship in general & India could not be in a better position.

Fai hands himself over to Maryland prison authorities - geo.tv

MARYLAND: Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai has handed himself over to prison authorities here. Fai was sentenced by a Virginia court on charges of tax evasion, taking money from a foreign government and trying to influence American policy.

Fai will be kept at a minimum security prison for two years followed by three years of supervised release.

Talking to Geo News he said, "I made a mistake, but Kashmir cause is wise." He added, "Kashmir cause has not been affected, people came to know that it's an important international issue."

Fai’s imprisonment was delayed because he had requested to attend his child’s graduation ceremony.

Why not arrange a SWOP?
1) The US will release Dr. Ghulamnabi Fai from prison, strip him of US Citizenship, send him back to Pakistan and deny him re-entry into the United States for life.

2) Pakistan will release Dr. Shakil Afridi from prison, strip him of Pakistan Citizenship, ship him to the US and deny him re-entry into Pakistan for life.

Then the CIA will have their man with them and the ISI will have our man with us.

Problem solved, no?
