It seems that the NDS may be pushing for war with Pakistan, as a last ditch effort to unite Afghanistan.

War against us .... . Even our paramilitary force FC is better equipped than ANA . Why dont they stop the mass desertion in ANA first and then think about stirring up a fight with us , cause at this rate there wont be an ANA to attack us with.

I think we shouldn't worry about afghanistan and ghanis empty threat . Let them whine and suffer alone .We need not care , since there has been more than a 60 % reduction in terrorist attacks across pakistan this year even without there cooperation . The last suicide attack was 5 months ago . We should focus on our country .The final push in op ZEA is about to begin anyway.

And needs to. If Pakistan reacts too harshly, it will harm Pakistani influence in Afghanistan, and invite unneeded international pressure.

They are deeply mistaken , their request was already rejected when karzai asked for surplus arms in India. US also rejected their requests for tanks . ISAF even scrapped hundreds of MRAPs instead of giving them to the afghans .Their MI-17s dont have spares and are largely abandoned ( see vice documentary ) . How am I mistaken? I said that they have this idea, it doesn't mean that their idea has any logic or truth to it.

No i meant that if the Afghans think that any country will arm them against us then they are mistaken. People forget that the peace process was endorsed by Britain, US and China . Pakistans relationship with the US has normalized , they have abandoned the "do more , do more " rhetoric and after opZEA the perception is changing .

These attacks are nothing more than the new Taliban supermo marking his territory , eventually all parties will return to table , since there are no pragmatic alternates .
