Getting a job in the Defense Industry

I have always wondered how one goes about getting a (sales) job in the defense industry, you know the folks that hang around stands during defense expos:

Are there any forum members who might have had experience working for the defense industry? Your input is much appriciated.

Most of the clients have real live training environments in the field in their own countries lol, and don't need no mock ups!
