There is no such news available on the Internet in Deutsche. My prior experience if no news is available in Deutsche then it is fake news unless the defence ministry told Indians in the ears and actual news will be released next month, that is an entirely different case.

As for the US pressure on Germany, recently on numerous occasions they stood with China and Russia (Nord stream 2 prime example). Things were bad during the Trump era and might improve a little during Biden but I seriously doubt Germany will just go and sit in US camp cutting of ties with China, very unlikely.

Unless Pakistan has a stupid requirement that the engines have to be from Germany, the sonar from France, the toilets from Japan, etc. everything is fine. If Pakistan does have those requirements because it believes Chinese equipment is sub-par, well... you guys are up sh*t creek.

The first two submarines are to be commissioned in April and October next year. Two more are planned for 2023, in January and December respectively, after which there are to be four, one each from 2025 to 2028.

The old Song class used the German MTU 16V396SE84 engines, three in total.

Pakistan’s submarines are the Yuan class which use Chinese Diesel engines and the AIP is developed by the 711th Research Institute.

The engine is built by Shanghai Qiyao Propulsion Technology Ltd.
