Gen Raheel reportedly offered key posts of Field Marshal or JCSC chief

I am sure that he will be retired when the time comes and not to forget that in line Lt Gens are the most competent and professional generals in PA.

Five star uniform is just like a medal, which you earn for your extra ordinary achievement. It's a honour. I don't see any reason for rejection.
Kindly let me know Gen Raheel Sharif's extra ordinary achievement more than Gen Kayani, Gen Haroon etc He started operations which still going on and military operations declare successful only after completion.

Kindly tell why are you asking me ?
Ask your govt, which is offering .

Since everyone is speculating, i think he will accept to have his service extended.

His tenure will be extended if he accepts the offer.. I hope he accepts the post of Field Marshal... Pakistan need him for few more years....

Hi,

Don't you guys get it by now---Gen Raheel is Nawz Sharif's LACKEY---. Gen Raheel is a sell out---.

Better idea , He gets extension for 4 years , and we hold new election , and put NAWAZ in jail for corruption

Hi,

Only if that was so easy---. He had all the chances to put Nawaz behind bars---but Gen Raheel let him walk scott free----for all these years---.

Don't trust Gen Raheel---him and Nawaz are team player---rather Tag team players---good cop / bad cop.

I think situation is much more complex, the pakistani public would never support any long term military rule ! Thats the reason why Army wants to remain more in the backround after the Mushrraf Era the Armys image and support in the public was the lowest since 1999.

Hi,

Public cares less for military of civil rule---. All they are looking for is Rule of law and Justice---. Whomsoever provides that---they will line up behind that person.

And justice is not the imposing of Shariah law.

Did we have justice under Musharraf era ?

Gen. Raheel Sharif have a golden opportunity to set an example for the institution
  • Reject the extension, think about the institution and not personal power
  • Reject the Field Marshal post, you are not some military mascot
  • Reject the Chairmanship of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, you are not a paper-pushing bureaucrat

Today two people died because Punjab government had blocked roads for its political gains. You think that is JUSTICE?

No I dont think thats justice this is inhuman and brutal, like say they said pure must be die that the richs can live, but do you remember all the protest on the streets in 2008 against Musharraf ? Public and justice did join hands to throw out the general from the seat, how you explain that time, in context of justice ?

From what i recall they were all 'wanna be thug' lawyers and these political bandits. There's no denying that Pakistan has always thrived under Martial Laws. Lets just talk about these private channels, do you think PMLN or PPP governments would ever have let them flourish, if it wasn't for Musharaff setting a base for them? Lets have a look at present, PMLN and PPP couldn't even tolerate one movie Maalik and banned it from screening.

 That's a quick bug out. You shouldn't have engaged only to retreat in such a way
What ? isn't the nooras offering him something or anyone else ?
