PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday laid the blame of getting deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif disqualified in the Panama Papers case on former army chief Gen (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa.

During an interview on Bol News, the former premier shed light on how there were two Gen Bajwas — one before the extension and one after it. “He (Bajwa) had sent two brigadiers who proved Nawaz was involved in the Panama case,” the PTI chief said. “This is why Nawaz is not forgiving Bajwa.”

Mr Khan added that the ex-army chief and all the agencies used to tell the media and his government members how corrupt Pakistan Democratic Movement leaders were.

“Then they imposed those same people on us.”

Commenting on the Toshakhana case against him, the PTI chief said the government and “handlers” made a big deal out of it for no reason. He lambasted the government for terming Toshakhana gifts a “state secret” when the apex court had sought details of all gifts received since the country’s independence.

Asked about why Mr Sharif was allowed to leave, Imran said the PML-N supremo’s medical reports were manipulated. “Imagine the extent of the deep state’s power,” he said.

Speaking about how the local government elections in Karachi were rigged, Imran deplored the tactics employed by PPP to steal the polls by collaborating with the local police, administration, and the election commission.

“Educated business-minded people live in Karachi,” he said, asking: “how can they vote for PPP”.

There are no favorites or blue eyed persons, leaders for the Establishment, the playbook remains the same, keep doing political engineering, maneuvering, divide and fragment emerging political parties, create their own groups, and keep the Mil-Establishment in total command and calling all the shots.

While our security establishment's leadership is busy in important work at home - India is doing the following:

I remember when some Markhoors raised eyebrowns on Indian training in Antartica months and years prior to Siachen and were told by our establishment uncles to calm down. Then we had Siachen.
The failure of our military leadership time and time again is so easily swept under the radar. When no oversight or accountability exists then we'll continue to see failures of epic proportions.

It is clear from history and recent past, that military as an institution has failed to handle its affairs. The structure within the Army does not allow for accountability at the top levels and that is why the institution is degrading and will continue to do so.

As for Panama that case was first surfaced in 2011! Its just that it became global few years later. But this Panama case is SOLID and not some hearsay that noonies want people to believe.

Weather bajwa made sure that mian and noonies were sent packing and not the courts is a conspiracy that needs investigation.

But to reiterate To date noonie leaks have no credible defence against what was revealed in Panama Leaks! Noonies did plenty of damage control but no substance in courts which would prove them innocent.

The court did give mian a way out of bemari and bajwa helped mian escape on platelets yoyoing!

if anything mian ought to be greatful to bajwa but chedding in the plate they eat is a habit.

IK plays mindgames well, by pretending to be naive and simpleton, and straightforward, he isn't. There is a method to madness.

Now with the 'new improved' anti Bajwa, anti Establishment narrative coming from PMLN and cohorts with all guns blazing, suddenly the anti Estab. PTI fanboys will find their old, with no love lost, rhetoric of supporting the Establishment back, the veritable keyboard warriors for the military will be active.

And that in turn will get IK, PTI in goodbooks of Estab. somehow, it would be a natural detour, subtle and sublime.

Establishment cannot be on the hit list of the bigger politcial parties all the time, so this will benefit IK's PTI.

Politicians are never 'finished'. Remember when Zardari said, "Aap ne 3 saal rehna hai, humesha k liye hum ne rehna hai..". Even Chaudhariz , who were text book puppets of Mushi, have enough clout to be courted by both PTI and PDM....

Its obvious that our military establishment (not just Bajwa) have this policy to disrupt politically elected govt and do not let any govt complete her term in the office. They will find corruption as an excuse although corruption is not a problem for them as the Generals are far more corrupt than politicians.
