Gazwa e Hind !!!

I study Islamic prophecies and I would say that we should not take the Ghazwa e Hind too seriously.

There are three Hadith about it. Only one is saheeh (deemed genuine) and it says that the army that conquers India will be blessed and the army that helps Jesus will be helped. It does not connect the two events. In this case we can reasonably say that India was conquered over 1200 years ago.

There are two Hadith that connect the conquest of India with the coming of Jesus. These suggest that the same army that conquers India will help Jesus. In this case the conquest of India hasn’t happened yet. Both these Hadith are categorized as weak.

Beyond the above, there is the issue of what exactly is Hind? Instead of India it could be Pakistan. Also, which army is it?

Then the question is: why on earth would we want to conquer India? Wasn’t ruling it for 1000 years enough? I can imagine liberating Kashmir, but why would Muslims want to conquer and rule 1 billion Hindus? Doesn’t make any sense, as long as they allow Muslims in India to live in peace.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to take weak Hadith too seriously.

The literature talks about "conquering of India" and bringing "India's kings in chains" and then "finding the Son of Maryam in Ash-Shaam (greater Syria)".

There was no historical event where any "kings of India" were chained up and brought to Syria finding the Son of Maryam.

The word kings is used as a plural. Generally one country has a one king. This implies some future where India is divided back into its natural state of existence, ie many states, where the local version of Hindutva is in power leading to establishment of kinghsips.

That explains it. It probably refers to current Pakistan. The prophecy has come true in that case.

Gazwa e Hind will involve some foreign entity invading this region. Has happened alot of times in history and will happen once again.

Please get it out of your head that Pakistan or India can invade each other.

Gazwa e hind will be end of world for all muslim. Why do you want to wish for your own extinction?

Sir, I understand that Ghaswa i Hind comes from hadith.

But the point is that it already happened, or people are just dreaming.

You think it is possible nowadays to conquer 950 million Hindus?

Give it a rest. Lets focus on Kashmir, and then call it a day.

Hindus have their land as well.

I think the 1000 year Islamic conquest/rule was GH, there will be no more GH..

Only Pakistanis talk about Ghazwa Hind, mythologizing obscure narrations for politics. Some years ago I was in a Masjid run by Arab Salafis who are mostly all about Hadith with undoubting devotion. Someone in a question/answer session asked about Ghazwa Hind, and nobody on the panel or audience had heard about it and these guys teach Hadith courses. They dismissed it as weak or fabricated and moved on to other questions.

We knew it all along that your leaders and establishment need to whip up war mongering to fill their pockets. Kashmir and Palestine are other means of inciting hatred.

The term Hind and Sindh are found in the literature. A specific distinction is present in the meanings of the two words. There is also another prophecy that Islam will reach Sindh.
