‘Gau Rakshak' stops cows to Bangladesh from Tripura

He said cows in Tripura were being smuggled to Bangladesh openly in front of the police and state administration.
The BJP leader said the 'Gau Rakshaks' stopped a vehicle loaded with cows in Bishalgarh area of Sepahijala district near the border with Bangladesh.
"The Gau Rakshaks stopped the vehicle in front of the police and asked the driver for necessary documents," he said.
Driver Rajib Hussain could not furnish relevant documents of the cows or even his driving license and registration papers of the vehicle, Deodhar said. "Most surprising even the number plate of the vehicle was missing."
The driver informed that the cows were being taken to Durganagar and his owner is from Bakshanagar.
Later the vehicle along with the cows was taken to the Bishalgarh police station where BJP Yuba Morcha activists protested against the police for not stopping illegal smuggling of cows to Bangladesh.
The BJP leader alleged that the Communist government led by Manik Sarkar had indulged in the cow smuggling.
Deodhar, a former RSS Pracharak said, “The Communist party of Tripura is involved with smuggling of arms and ammunition, marijuana, cattle, contraband, cross border money laundering. The party fund is kept safe in Bangladesh and Manik Sarkar is the most corrupt chief minister of the country but Left Front has projected him as a very honest person, which is totally a lie.”
The BJP leader had uploaded the entire episode in the social media.
Tripura has a long 857 km border with Bangladesh and in spite of more than 90 percent of it fenced report of smuggling of contraband, cattle and marijuana through the unfenced pockets very common.
Only two days back nine Tamil Nadu bound Bangladesh nationals including three women were arrested in the same district.
Gau Rakshaks have frequently hit newspaper headlines mostly due to their acts of violence, since the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government assumed power in May 2014.
Established in 2012, Gau Rakshaks claims to have saved the lives of cows. It is registered as a company by the Union ministry of corporate affairs. Among other things, the aim of the organization, as listed on its website, is to set up a “cow urine therapy research centre and practising centre for critical ailments afflicting cows."
