ER-LINK (Turkish Dismounted Soldier Link) is a situational awareness system, designed for modernized dismounted war-fighter. Instantaneous tactical command and feedback is made possible with high throughput UHF radios between dismounted soldiers and long range VHF communication between soldiers and command and control assets. Real time information is displayed on the war-fighter on helmet mounted tactical displays.

ER-LINK provides precise position information, encrypted voice and data communication between war-fighters and commanders, thus decreases probability of friendly fire and increases operational effectiveness. In addition ER-LINK provides the exchange of emergency points related to the battlefield and enemy points detected via intelligence sources or by visual means. Due to these aspects, ER-LINK system has become a serious need within the "Future Soldier" vision to increase efficiency in land operations .
