There's no relation. Even during his lifetime, Gandhi grew to become a legend and a stalwart for peace and non-violence. He is like Abraham Lincoln, Santa Claus...(insert similar personalities here ). He was expected to voice his opinions in world affairs and thats what he did.

Again...you fail to read or even attempt to understand the letter. He is pushing his ideology of non-violence to Hitler in the hope that Hitler may abandon his ridiculous stand. Gandhi wrote exactly two letters to Hitler and these are on public display in Mani Bhavan ( India ) and in British museums ( according to you ). These letters are not exactly a secret...its been out there for the whole world to see for decades.

Gandhi then wrote a second letter to Hitler, this time closer to Hitler's own downfall, at a time when Hitler was plagued with betrayal all around him while confined to an underground bunker. We witness a contrast in the ideologies of these two leaders and the eminent result of Hitler's brutal and catastrophic methods.

I am quite sure this is the type of letter most of the haters are expecting. Maybe there national heros would have written similar letter, thats why yhey have such expectation. Hating Gandhi? ok....I think you living in India so at least you might have some problems in street lights , roads ,drainage ,medical facilities or traffic jam around you house/region.
