Gandhi’s specs missing from ‘Wardha Ashram’

The spectacles have been missing from the 'Sevagram Wardha Ashram' in Indian state of Maharashtra.



Mohandas Gandhi s spectacles have been missing since November last year, revealed officials.


Jaini Sharma, a volunteer of Sevagram Ashram said since November 20, 2010 the glasses went missing.


The employees were asked to keep silent about the missing glasses as they were trying to investigate the matter at their own level.


The hermitage authorities are yet to register a police complaint.


Vinod Swarup, secretary of Sevagram Ashram said that they had decided to probe in the matter themselves before informing the media about the incident.
