I dont know nor do I care, neither do I know if this picture is real or photoshop, but the movie screen shot and this picture are not ditto or alike...

Dude, are you blind?? It isn't photoshop, it's from a British movie.

Look at both of them..

Same belt, same pants, same shirt, same hair style, same everything. It's from a movie called Nine Hours To Rama.

And the guy in far right in the blue clothing in the second image is in the first image.

At my first glance at the Title I thought of Sonia Gandhi.So when I saw the article I was disappointed.

I made it my new avatar on FB, and posted this artistic critique.

"Check out my new avatar for a frisson of horror and compassion!. Gandhi, a deer caught in headlights, a cringing Christ, face to face with Godse, the very image of the true Believer, given over to Shiva. And I thought Rick Perry (Governor of Texas)had "crazy eyes"!

Forgive the cultural inappropriateness of the refernces to "cringing Christ" and any implied slur on Shiva.

Yes, Gandhi and Isa were brave, but a man must be cut some slack when confronting fate. Maybe the child begs, maybe the man regrets, maybe the soldier says, "I am so screwed." Whatever the victim's reaction, my reaction on seeing such is "That must have HURT!!!"

Rather than photo is real or not, I was moved by it's depiction of two world's about to collide. I would feel better, truthfully, if it were art. Godse chills me to the marrow, a man possessed.

If this was intended as a slur on Gandhi, I missed it.

yes indeed its quite epic, nathuram about to shot gandhi, picture taken seconds before his death, but after the intentions of shoting gandhi, was disclosed to gandhi.... the moment must not be more than 2-3 seconds...

Not about, but in the movie Nathuram Godse(Horst Buchholz-actor) already shot him..

5:55 onward is when the photo was taken, with his right hand up. But in the movie you can see only Gandhi(J.S. Casshyap).
