I can't read it, but I am sure he has been inspired, influenced, etc by Muslims.

Gandhi hardly needed inspiration for being simple. In any case he did not see people as hindus / Muslims / Christians/ Sikhs / dalits etc as we like to. He saw them as humans.

"Take Credit"?
Who is 'taking credit' of anything?What is there to take credit of,BTW? Gandhi is "quoted" here saying what AzadPakistani has written...Gandhi isn't saying something about Muslims..He is talking about Umar and Abu Bakar..the first two caliphs of Muslims who ruled over,probably,the largest empire till that time but still led very,very simple life.It just happen ~ 1350 years ago so we have very good and authentic records of them..May be thats why he gave the example of those two..Chill buddy
