What's new

G20 Summit: US, India, UAE, Saudi to finalise Middle-East shipping, railway deal

Here it's much shorter then standard route
And there's just one time loading and offloading on ships
Unlike multiple times on this USA proposed plan

Middle East still needs its own railway network

So that can work for intra regional transport

But not gonna be economical for connectivity between Europe and India

Yeah that reminds me how many nuclear power plants did USA install in India after signing that historical nuclear agreement???
It wasn't because of USA's reluctance to build the nuclear plants, but the Indian governments did not wanted to invest so much on the nuclear power. Add on the too many nuclear projects made the project hanging in middle for too long. But even today the deal for the 10k MW Jaitapur deal with France and USA's Westinghouse is still going on!!

India is late.

In the past I already told Indians about it, how important the international cooperation on infrastructure project to connect multiple countries.

But for whatever reasons, Indian members seem to have their own opinion about it.

If not, India economy is not as low as today, at least India reached half or two-third of China economy today.

Anyway, I'm glad that India finally realizes its mistake and full spirited engage it.

Day by day India is improving, fixing all wrong perspectives.

There's another one big problem that India should fix to improve their economy furthermore, which is statistics.

To reach development equality and prosperity to all people.
Two things that holds India back is is energy dependence/insecurity and the weak manufacturing. If we can overcome both of these, then we can because what we ideally should be!!

. .
yes but off loading and unloading takes lot of times. It includes labour cost and waste of time. This will only work if suez is blocked or Egypt turn against USA. Chance of that happen is next to nothing.

Not the BBB they have another one to counter china. Zero involvement so far. USA involvement in third world countries are negligible.

Usa is trying to move it away from China. That’s true but it’s going to most in Vietnam, Mexico and south east Asia. Indian share is not much.

Slum dweller like you can only go with personal attack lol

what work you guys will do lmao.

Can’t even cross Bangladesh on per capita income lol. If bd is shit country and india per capita is below Bangladesh…do us a favour go jerk off to to rape videos after drink cow urine lolz

These sounds like a bullshit plan, just to announce something

These pajeets are retards and think loading and unloading everything multiple times is fun, easy and cheap

Their is already existing infrastructure in the middle east to support any exports and imports they need

This is not for the Borats, like I said if anything this might be for the jews, so they can form a point of entry for European products into the middle east and then onto India and even the. If your sending something to India

Why the fcuk would you unload it into the middle east

.
So you take it to a port in India
Load it onto a ship

Onload it onto trains in UAE to travel across multiple countries to Israel, where it reloaded onto a ship

Then taken to Greece, to unload back onto trains/trucks

Unless the suez is blocked, what's the point?

The actual economics of this are both interesting and unknown. Logic would say keeping your cargo on the ship makes alot more sense .. but this project feels more like a project to "bind" Israel-Saudia Arabia-UAE-Inda" together geo-politically than an actual project for economic advancement. The logistical hops reduce the practicality of this project compared to pure land route that Pakistan has, and also China has via Pakistan and also its own land corridors.

Jealous?

Who gets to decide whether this plan is BS, G20 leaders or you?

The Italian prime minister has been taking her time before deciding how to communicate her government’s decision to exit from the global infrastructure pact, fearing trade retaliation.

Bloomberg reported earlier this year that Italy has signalled to allies that it intended to pull out of the initiative, but Meloni has for months been haunted by a dilemma on how to deliver such a decision to Beijing while limiting the risk of retaliation

Meloni has said she will visit China in the coming months and the issue is sensitive, particularly since China’s ambassador to Italy had warned there would be “negative consequences” for Italy if it withdrew from the agreement

The number one Indian commodity is its people. This plan allow Middle East countries to participate in export of Indian labors to Europe. I see no other use with this plan.

What are you talking about? They were paying for most of infrastructure spending in Afghanistan before Taliban took over. They are not an authoritarian regime like China, so they don't force aid recipients to use American companies and labour like China does. Many projects in Afghanistan were executed by Indian companies and funded by Americans. They are the major donor for multilateral agencies as well.

Yes, all of Chinese manufacturing won't move to India, but there are going to be enough exports from India to Middle East and Europe to justify India's investment in the corridor.

Vietnam may have a good education system, but there is no comparison with the quality and quantity of Indian engineers. CEOs of major American companies have been educated in India. So they will naturally have an affinity for India.

Obviously, both are developing countries. Even China is not a rich country . India is technologically more advanced than Bangladesh in most areas and has a much bigger economy in absolute terms, but there are still large pockets of backwardness in India. However, most people won't claim BD is richer than India just because its currency is slightly overvalued right now.

Also, the direction of trade is not unidirectional. One major strategic advantage for India will be a much shorter link to Israel which is an important defence and technology partner.
USA problem is not the funding rather it’s reliance on some countries to manage others. They don’t get directly involved when it comes to infrastructure. It’s nothing to do with regime rather how Americans managed third world.

if you look at what is happening in North America lots of investment that’s running away from China are coming to Mexico and other Latin American countries.

this is not to say india won’t get it. They will but it’s over hyped at this point. The concept of near shoring was absent when every one was running to china in early 2000.

Regarding Vietnam they are a tiny country compare to indian population. Having Indian ceo and why not Vietnam has ceo work for American own companies don’t make them less qualified. In overall education Vietnam has one of the best mass education systems and envy for third world countries.

bd is a third world country and so as India. That’s the whole point. There are advantages india has no doubt but the overall economic situation for most Indians is same as any other third would country citizens. As you said even China is a developing country and has less per capita then poorest eu country Bulgaria. India is one fifth of china.

This deal bigger winner will be Israel. That will also depend how Middle East behave in coming years. With oil price going down and world moving to ev we have to see how gulf countries adopt in next decade to manage there oil dependency. Less money and more problem in Middle East that’s what I will assume.

This plan was an idea of an Israeli minister of transportation given to Trump in 2017.

I hope that your prophet didn't teach you to hate fellow humans

Well idol worshippers, yeah, look at what the Jews call you?

This plan was an idea of an Israeli minister of transportation given to Trump in 2017.

Obviously

Because it makes no sense for the pajeets

This is more to try and integrate the Jews with the local Arab Muslim states

It's more about European goods making Haifa a important port as opposed to anything else

And it's important that Arabs ,. Muslims etc make citizens aware of what they are trying to do

You would admit yourself their is mutual hatred between Jews and Arab Muslims, and allowing trade before Palestinians are given justice will just result in fake project's built in bullshit

.
When you're taught to hate India since very beginning, then how on earth you're going to flourish?

Fact is, Pakistan has destroyed itself in its efforts of destroying India. There is still time left, correct yourself or more is on the way.

Hilarious. Our issues are entirely internal and factional politiking and yet you think you're the cause lol. Afghanistan is more relevant than India to us. Indians need to come out of their obsessive inferiority complex; it's almost like they can't be happy with themselves unless they mention Pakistan.

___________

This project is more geopolitical than it is an actual "game changing" investment and it matters very little to China given it has increased its own ties with the Middle East and Israel. Just has to avoid losing Europe entirely and it will be negligible. The winners if the project happens will obviously be Arab countries. They are taking the future without oil seriously and forging stronger ties with everyone, even Iran. Except of course one country ...

From a Pakistani POV, as usual, **** those generals. In an era of rapidly developing geopolitics that will determine the future, they are the reason we are totally absent on the world stage and teetering on the brink once again. We should be thinking about our own connectivity projects given our excellent location but the incompetent losers at the top would rather interfere in politics, lock up, torture and kill Pakistanis.

Not Gona happen. Pakistan is in the middle for any road or rail network to materialize.

Yes good job as usual. Israel has the smartest ppl. Something I like about Israel. Arabs are dumb **** as usual lol.

Hope the ev transformation takes place as fast as possible and we get rid of dirty oil once and for all. If this agreement can increase green transformation it’s good news.
