Im already excited by the realism of the upcoming MS flight sim. I know fellow aviation lovers will have their minds blown when they finally get their hands on this game:

I am not a gamer so I don't feel any excitement for this development.

However, there is a section in the wonderful book, Mars Crossing, when the captain goes into a VR room and there is a simulation of running through a jungle path. This simulation is to keep the captain ( and the rest of the crew ) connected with Earthly scenes.

So, I believe, computer graphics will generally remain confined to simulation.
