China now knows that Pakistani army is controlled by the US.

Will they now go for Plan B through Afghanistan and Iran?
Is Gwadar project all but dead?
Is it time to ditch investments in Gwadar?

China did not invest on Imran. China invested in the mutual alignment of regional strategic interests between China and Pakistan. CPEC will continue regardless of who is at the helm in both countries

The unspoken assumption is that the political, military, media, and judicial system of Pakistan also works for strategic interests of Pakistan. When key individuals have children and assets in the West, and prioritize their personal well being over national interests, then that assumption becomes open for debate.

CPEC was started not under the IK government, the one previous. Those same people are back in power now.

They invested under PMLN rule people comin back....
Zardari laid the ground work for it and Musharraf envisioned Gwadar

Pakistani elites having interests in the west is not news to China. China's strategic interests in Pakistan is regional to South Asia. As long as Pakistan has its dispute with India, it will be sufficient for China.

To be frank, I don't know if Pakistan government can be trusted after this.
It's literally a CIA hive.

For three years Chinese were pissed that CPEC is deliberately being slowed down. Then came Dasu incident where 9 Chinese lost their lives and China has to send "Someone" packing because he tried to pass the attack as a bus accident. CPEC would pick the pace now.

The connection to the US has existed long before IK's tenure, and China has always been well aware of this.

The CPEC projects themselves were agreed and signed upon in 2013, under Zardari, and launched in 2015 under Nawaz Sharif.

Chinese interests are relatively safe regardless of the political climate, the military has likely given them full assurance of this.

Slightly off-topic, but the biggest threat to CPEC is not the government, but rather terrorism, especially in Balochistan.

Chinese businessmen made the most money during PMLN and PPP governments because they could get away with corruption and arrive back in China like nothing happened. They even made a business out of marrying Pakistani women. I am sure they will be looking forward to the new regime.

ur not wrong, reports are that Pakistan's MIRV program and missile Ababeel are completely compromised by CIA and thats why we havent tested since the last launch

"After this" ?

It always has been, the situation is not any different to how it has previously been in the past, and China is not oblivious to this.

Nothing new for China, they were probably expecting this.

Apparently everyone knows this except our fat cat CIA controlled generals

Belt and Road Initiative is good for both Pakistan and China, no matter which party in Pakistan comes to power. Will not affect the construction of Belt and Road Initiative.

China and Pakistan's friendship has always been based on complete strategic alignment, leaders come and go, but interests will always remain.
