Those are fast track purchase, army RFI was to procure 5.5 lakhs and army is evaluating Tavor-7 acc. to some sources. AK-103 is real deal not propaganda and it will challenge TAR purchases which is based on ARM. Recently army visited Kalashnikov facility. @punit Though OFB will manufacture them.

There's no NATO AK103 at present.
The interest in the rifle is legit, but it's to replace our AK variants.
And to kill off our own clones I suppose.
