Funeral Cermony of Mumtaz Qadri

. .
Decision was made by authorities of federal territory. As roads were closed due to demonstrations teachers and kids could not be able to reach school. Secondly parents also avoids sending their kids to school in such situations.
Did the demos start overnight or something? Because I was thinking the schools cancellation came first, and the demonstrations afterward.

For what crime?
For speaking crap against a law based solely on Quran and Sunnah. Secondly yes in Islam you can't take law in your hands but on the other hand state has responsibility to implement Islam, if state would fail than their would be chaos

A preemptive decision and a good. This decision doesn't result in overall attendance at the funeral as people reached Rawalpindi from all across the country.

A pretty sizeable crowd but no where near one million or hundred thousand number that people are throwing around. Take it from someone's who managed large gatherings. This is 15k-20k at best.

But that's besides the point. Why so many people gathered up is what needs to be discussed. And I think only Pakistanis will really know the answer to that. And it's no clear and straightforward answer but rather vague and oblique.

You have people in this crowd that represent so many different schools of thoughts and opinions. The hardcore JUI etc are here but also the regular folks who feel a little compelled to be here because they want to do the right thing and be on the right side of the religion at the end of the day.

After all, here is a man who silenced the heretic and did not care for his life. Thats basic programming of our people that you shall not commit blasphemy nor will you tolerate it. And a lot of people here in the crowd are playing it safe. That hey, what if Qadri did the right thing, we must go to the funeral or be eternally damned for hell.

It's this programming that need to be evolved. Where people are so scared of the hell that they'd go to extreme ends to make sure they do end up there. It's the same programming that prevents a lot of folk at home or on tv channels from condemning the likes of Qadri.

Somehow, somewhere down the line we need to make our society stop putting so much emphasis on the idea of heaven and hell that for all we know does not even exist. And that once it's your time to go it's just simply lights out.

Are you sure about that?

...My first article documented the original authentic Hanafi position on the penalty for blasphemy i.e. it is not a hudd offense, there is no death penalty for repentant Muslim offenders, no death penalty for non-Muslims and there is a provision of pardon in all cases. Why then, do the religious forces deny or hide this?...After presenting our evidence of the factual inaccuracies from which the current narrative draws its strength, we asked for their opinion. We got the same answer – that it is a matter of maslihat (public good). It is not in the best interest of the public that information like this be openly disseminated -
Why blasphemy remains unpardonable in Pakistan

Imam Abu Hanifa stance was rejected by his own students. Blasphemy issue is agreed upon and crystal clear

Yeah, ok big guy. One or two local roads can't even accomdate 2 million people. Try to understand what a huge number 2 million is.

Mufti Hanif Qureshi is a SUPPORTER of Pakistan Army and Zarb e 'Azb

Look at how he RALLIES common Pakistanis to support our Paak Fauj against Terrorists !

Pakistan Army Zindabad !!

Maybe the Mufti should comment about the woman who used to throw trash on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the prophet in all his magnificence and wisdom pardoned her.

Who made the decision to dismiss schools in Rawalpindi so the students could attend the funeral?

All schools and universities other educational institutes were closed down for security reasons on account of his funeral not for attending the funeral.

Do not bring in BS

Law is from Quran and Sunnah so calling it black law I think you are smart enough to do the math.
