Even basic MRAPs and a reliable way/comms to get QRF support within minutes would be a huge boost. We may not have the means to keep an eye on everything, but if an engagement happens, at least have the means to hunker down until help arrives. Even a simple drone with basic guided rockets could be the thing that turns the tide in a battle.

When there is a will there is a way, I think once we have a decent civil military leadership they will provide them with those Armored Vehicles, because they need it badly.
