It's just a face saving for French by bombing fake target if they already knew then why wait for some tragedy to happen it's all bullshit .
- ISIS conducts terrorism against a country (In example France charlie hebdo)
- France bombs ISIS positions, not making a significant change over ISIS's strength.
- France doesn't want to conduct a ground operation fearing public reaction against casualties.
- ISIS conducts terrorism again in France (Paris attacks)
- France bombs ISIS positions, not making a significant change over ISIS's strength.
- France doesn't want to conduct a ground operation fearing public reaction against casualties.
ISIS will again conduct terrorism in France or in another Western country in the future. Yeah, you feared a ground operation because of casualties but by not doing a ground operation and annihilating ISIS, you are giving casualties to their terrorism indirectly....
Vicious cycle.
@FrenchPilot
I think someone needs to look into the Geneva conventions.
They are not applicable in conflicts where one of the parties did not sign.
The Daesh have clearly shown that they do not honour the convention,
which means that laws of war are no longer applicable.
The French can now bomb at random.
Yeah, we are telling this for months...If we are going to conduct a ground operation against every NATO member should share the burden. If France decides to go on the ground,it would be with NATO allies,as the US did to "evict" the Talibans.
We have to hit them hard without stopping,we have to hit what gives them money, such as oil refineries etc..
As for this conflict, now i would want everyone to contribute on the fight against ISIS,even if we have differences with others we should unite and fight them. (Didn't US and allies ally to the USSR to defeat the Germans ? )
Turkish PM says no plan for ground operation in Syria | EL EtosDavutoğlu told reporters in Ankara, suggesting thatTurkey could be involved in a ground incursion if it is part of a coordinated action with the international community.
“The international community must definitely find a solution to the crisis in Syria. If a need arises for an action, Turkey will do its share together with the international community,” he said.
He emphasized, however, that Turkey will not hesitate to take action if it is faced with a threat. “Right now, there is no such situation in regards to Syria. If such a need arises, we already have every preparations and measures in place,” he said.
This war is too bloody, and after defeating the terrorists,we should find a politic compromise about Bashar's future. (He isn't an Angel, wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy from that, but better him on power than Baghdadi no ? )
France at the moment is saying to it's citizens..."Hey look, ISIS killed our people, we are killing theirs. We are getting our revenge."France signed Geneva convention.
France killed hundreds of thousands of Algerians who had done absolutely no harm to France as a country.
Let's kill French randomly, as general convention is not applicable.
See? You can say that for many others.
Bombing ISIS only from the air is not going to destroy them.

So, after more than 1 year of U.S coalition bombing in Raqqa, France suddenly found 20 highly important military targets in a relatively small city like Raqqa just in one night? Seriously, who are they fooling? Themselves or the world?
And if we assume France actually targeted IS military positions in Raqqa, a question is raised, what the **** has U.S been doing in past year that France can arrive and suddenly find 20 important targets in the city? One of them are screwing around very badly.
We are ready it's US and EU who should make their desicion.
War with whom ?Sun Tzu says, War is a matter of life and death. If Erdogan don't want to die, then he better not start war.

As long as ISIL has support from the local population(s) on the ground, their numbers will never run out.
It's good to hit their command and control (and other infrastructure) though so they are less effective. But that's only a temporary solution, it seems things will only get worse in the foreseeable future, regardless of anyone's policy or intervention, or lack of it.
Instability breeds violence, it will take several generations before this extremism will start to reduce.
We are conducting everyweek reconnaissance missions over Syria and Iraq to designate targets, but tell us more,it seems you know what our air force is doing. Are you Lanata ?
It is funny.... an Iranian telling us "Who are they fooling".
War with Arabs. If Turkish soldiers set foot in Syria, it would start war with Arabs. I remind you. Turks are from Mongolia. They are new comers to the ME. Please tread carefully, especially in regards with Arabs who are the creators of Islam.
I don't understand your emotional reaction, I asked a legitimate question: Either U.S or France are trying to fool the world. After more than 1 year of bombing 'high value ISIS targets' in Raqqa and around by U.S, France finds 20 important targets for one single night. Either U.S sucked so bad (or ignored) in finding the targets or France is just trying to appease its people by saying: Hey look, we are bombing them back, we are taking 'revenge'.
Nothing personal, I am asking a question, no need to target my nationality for answering.
One of Ahrar al-Sham leaders in Homs province released a statement supporting Paris attacks.
Now why is this important? This group is supported heavily by French allies, Saudis, Qatar and also Turkey. 'Moderate' terrorists of course. But France should know, instead of launching airstrikes mostly for show, you should address the root of this ideology, look what your 'allies' are cooking. But it doesn't matter, as long as they buy billions of dollar of random stuff from France.
