French National Front fails to win its regional election targets: exit polls| Reuters
@flamer84 So,finally after :
FN
vs LR+UDI+MODEM+EELV+PS+FDG+PC ;
After a second round that permitted the "ennemies" to make suspicious alliances ;
After a prime minister that OPENLY called to vote to Sarkozy's party ;
The FN didn't win any region.
But there is a positive thing. In 2002,1vs1,the FN candidate had ~17% and the other more than 82%. In 2015,the FN candidate has 43% and the other ~57%.
Now wait,for the French to complain that nothing is done,they are being taken for fool,it's amazing.

"Le "Front Républicain" remercie les Français pour leur forte mobilisation et leur souhaite de très joyeux attentats."
Et aussi ;
"Le FN a perdu avec honneur en défendant ses idées.
Les autres ont gagné dans le déshonneur avec magouilles et mensonges"
Well, you win some you lose some. I thought this will happen anyway, despite FN good results in first round. I do agree with you though that Marie le Pen's and FN popularity will only increase these coming years.
There are several reasons for Marine Le Pen's popularity :
One, the traditional political parties (left wing as much as right wing) haven't been very successfull in tackling major problems like unemployment, decline of income of the middle class.
Secondly , the socialist party and president François Hollande haven't been conducting a left wing program. It's not very different from the right wing government under Sarkozy
Thirdly, many French are concerned with problems linked to immigrant populations, Islam, deprived suburbs. etc
Lastly, many French even think their problems are linked with the European Union and the Euro currency and theyprobably want to quit the EU. lol
However, I think Marine Le Pen doesn't propose any applicable solutions, apart from kicking out foreign criminals and quitting the European Union. Likewise, i don't think most French think Marine Le Pen is a serious option for being a candidate for the presidential election in 2017. But many French people are fed up with the traditional political parties, and some will vote Le Pen to sanction Hollande.
Marine Le Pen knows that and she's clever enough to play the card of discontent amongst a major part of the French population.But then again, nobody cant blame her though that's how politics works, don't blame the player, blame the game.
So, like one Senior french politician said recently: the mainstream political establishment/parties better wake up now and reform/listen to and solve the people's complains before its too late, else if things continue this way, then expect the FN to become the dominant political party in France these coming years.
