The fact is in the west, order and economic prosperity has been achieved by creating a largely constructed 'artificial' homegeneity and their media reflects the suffocating convergence of political thought. Iran is pretty well evil in every western media and Israel a victim even it is displayed often as a rude victim.

This suffocoating homogeneity merely reflects the consolidation of the entire western economic system by one order. To be able to operate you have to survive and feed on the oxygen provided by this economic order. This means all media houses in west are broadly owned by groups/individuals that are part of the same capitalist elite. So all you get from them is differant perspective of the same product. Politics reflects that. Take USA. A country of 300 million people yet politics has been mincedmeated into two narrow funnels each of which has divergence of a hair thickness. Republicans/Democrats.

Now compare Pakistan. PTM, MQM, PTI, ANP, JFL, TTP and more with views so divegent that it's like one are on Mars, other on Saturn, other on Pluto and your trying to get them to work together. The media in Pakistan reflects this conflict.

Yes absolutely, good for the goose, good for the gander. There is limited chance of success unless Pakistan adopts western models. And note there are two western models in my book -

• western capitalism with it's differant permutations like USA, UK, Japan, South Korea etc
• western socialism with it's differant permutations like CCP in China etc

Both originate from western thought.

Take USA. 100s of differant migrant ethnic groups speaking differant languages, differant religions, from across the globe that make Pakistan look boring have been melded around the original English settlers, pressure pumped through a meat grinder and you get the modern American. our media is not curbed it barks against Pakistans interest day and night issue is people dont care much if media hurts Pakistan but go crazy when they talk about Armed forces and our Army being very careful about its imagine strictly deals with such media outlets i am not saying media should be allowed yo bark against army all the time but objective criticism should be allowed and if army goes out of their domain media or people have every right to discuss it! without being labeled traitor!

When the national ethos was built up there was little in the form of media and what there was only reflected narrow interests of the elite and you should know that. Mass media is recent phenomenon. And your now being obtuse because I know your not ignorant.
