I cannot talk about other religion and its followers. But I am sure they may also be hurt because of this act against their religion and gods.

Freedom of speech and freedom of expression do not mean hurting people emotionally. Respecting and protecting others rights and their feelings is more important than producing and displaying caricature cartoons for entertainment purpose.

Listen, the inner city "ban lieus" problems of integration are a separate issue. Now here I do sympathise. However, Macron has declared "Islam is in crisis"! This is an erroneous world view and will draw push back from Muslims outside of your inner cities.

The more rational comment is you are sending people to prison for questioning the Holocaust while defending cartoons that deliberately provoke as "freedom of expression." Think how badly this reflects on French society and Western Europe which has anti-Holocaust denial laws but champions themselves as the center-place of "free thought."

The EU has a common charter for human rights which contradict these "No Holocaust denial" laws.

As Christianity diminishes in Western and Central Europe, new religions are slowly replacing it. One of them is Holocaust worship. Another one is "environmentalism."

You can make an argument that you can do what you wish in your own countries without the Muslim countries lecturing you. But in 2006 when an anti-Holocaust conference was held in Tehran, EU countries and North America condemned it as "unacceptable."

Don't get me wrong, I hate the Iranian regime and wish to see it gone. I am even on the side of Israel if it is Israel that will ensure Iran does not become nuclear.

However the fact is they are a sovereign country and the conference was held within their borders rather than being shipped abroad to Europe, yet it drew an emotional backlash from Western leaders who decried it as "offensive" "hateful" and "unacceptable." A sovereign country being told by the "free world" what to do within it's own borders yet the same year these same countries asked for the same courtesy.

In 2010 when militant Western atheists started "Draw Muhammad day" to prove their arguments, Muslims on social media retaliated in a smart move with "Draw Holocaust day" because they knew that poking fun at Christianity does not work.

Christianity is only a religion of Europe in theory. Not in practice. The elites of Europe spend more time at Holocaust memorial museums and indoctrinate it into their kids than they go to Church.

It is the natural course of history.
Any sort of resistance or counter to it is unnatural. It won't work - you can't do anything to stop the wheel of time.

Religion is absolutely a component of civilization. Every culture will have a spiritual inclination that it defines itself by. We won't witness it in our lifetimes but Europe will endure a great transformation in this sense that it sheds Christianity completely and shortly replaces it with Islam. It is the way things are meant to be.
