France says puts 30 jihadists "out of action" in Mali

Between 4-9 january, Malian & French forces supported by Tigre helicopters and Mirage 2000 fighter jets destroyed a terrorist camp in the Serma forest in Mali. More than 20 terrorists killed,vehicles destroyed and ied making equipments seized.

At the same time,the katiba Serma leader & 4 guards have been arrested by French special forces in the Serma forest.

The self declared Jihadists in Mali are vile people. They were responsible for widespread damage to historical Islamic sites and mosques during their brief occupation of parts of the country.

The French troops in Mali are there by the government's leave. I am normally opposed to foreign intervention, but much good is being done there by the French troops. It's a shame, more Muslim countries don't step up to the challenge by helping out weaker Muslim countries struggling with terrorism.

The French army maintains its pressure on terrorist groups in the Sahel region. Few days ago more than 15 terrorists were neutralized in the Dialoubé region of Mali.
