Combattante FS 56
The Combattante FS 56 is a compact ship with a stealth design capable of high speeds and strong firepower actions for anti-surface warfare and land attack missions. Those qualities make the Combattante FS 56 the vessel of choice when surveillance and attack are key requirements.

With a length of 56 meters and width of 8.2 meters, the Combattante FS 56 is capable of reaching an impressive 38 knots. Its weapon systems consist in a 76mm main gun (Capable of deploying Oto Melara's Vulcano rounds for Land Attack missions) and a 40mm secondary gun at the stern, two 30mm remote weapon stations and 8 MM40 Exocet anti-ship missiles. The crew consists in 32 sailors. The main bridge offers a panoramic 360° visibility. As with the Combattante SWAO 53, navigation, radars, and electronic warfare sensors are all grouped in a single integrated mast.

Is this deal supported for countering Hezballah and Salafists in Lebanon?

Yes, which in my opinion is a good thing as both are dangerous for the neighborhood and a threat to Lebanon. My "fear" is only that Hezbollah has too much influence in Lebanon and thus the military although this move is a move to change that and make the Lebanese army more independent from local political parties. As it should be as a good military is supposed to protect the nation and people. Not take sides in internal conflicts or serve the interests of such groups.

@Gabriel92

Thank you for this share, bro.

Useless weapons...

If you know what i mean...

yeah they are useless.. they are in need of night goggles and old machine guns from iran lol :omghaha:

Some sources say also that we'll deliver anti tank missiles Milan (Milan ER maybe) and also rifles.

des missiles Milan antichar ainsi que des armes légères pour l’infanterie.

FOB – Forces Operations Blog » Le contrat libanais enfin signé (MàJ)

Some sources said that we may deliver some VBCIs,but it was "too big" for Lebanon.
We'll see soon if they are more things. :)

with all that hi-tech weapons GCC have they still dare not attack Assad. These will be useful against ISIS supporters but isn't going to undermine hezbollah influence straight away. Its just to give the impression that Lebanon can adequately defend itself without hezbollah.

Why don't they get the Gazelle attack helicopters from Egypt instead? would be easier for them, Egypt has more than a hundred of those and license produce it
