India is a Dharmic nation but fish/chicken/lamb should still be permitted

I totally support this decision. Being a vegetarian, it pains me to see these innocent animals being cut and so much blood is littered.. If eating meat is so important then, then those who want meat should cut a pound of their flesh and eat it.

Worth noting even under the Moghul era beef was banned to keep the Hindus happy ;)

Eating Chicken and Fish is okay they give us protein.

Cow gives us milk and cheese and cow farming spoils the environment so beef should not be permitted apart from Kerala, Goa etc.

Giving up beef will reduce carbon footprint more than cars, says expert | Environment | The Guardian

And mutton (goat), beef, pork, quail, rabbit, meats eaten by some NE states, etc. also.....

I neither eat fish nor chicken, protein can be supplemented from other vegetarian sources like pulses soya etc.
I can't stop anyone from eating meat but I certainly feel for these poor animals..

what a chutiya order man . every human have right to eat whatever . if some religion did not eat what others fault ?

NE has many tribes and stuff we must respect their diet and keep them happy

If poor kids in Secular Kerala can be denied of Mid Day Meal and kept hungry then meat ban doesn't sound that bad. I wholeheartedly support this meat ban.
i am ashamed that we have atheist like you

It pains me to know that millions of microbes die while you breathe, please stop breathing! :)

Neither does sweeping the issue under the rug. Either take every single issue seriously or not at all, no more half @ssed attempt at Secularism.

I stood against that issue also.
