I wonder why HAL didn't name it cough...cough...SpitMutra..cough... along the lines of Spitfire...its a seriously good name with all the appropriate Gaorakshak connotations.

Who knows, not even IAF i'm sure... May be waiting for MK-7.5 to comeup to the appropriate mark to market it in Europe.
