Presently it seems to be as two pronged system - one prong for elite/VIP class to project them above the law - other prong seems to be in the @$$ of commoners to increase their pain and agony, which is a bit justified as we all responsible to support such rotting system.

The mighty have used islamic laws to get away with murders in Pakistan. Unless we get rid of this barbaric law only fit for 7th century arabs, powerful will keep getting away.

Sir G, there is no issue of Islamic law. Only issue is lack of states will and 'Wadera System'.
I personally know the examples in UAE and KSA where even the might were sentenced to capital punishment as the weaker party did not agreed upon compensation. The state provides all protection to commons. Before implementation the capital punishment all family members/blood relatives remains under 'house arrest' condition till announcement/implementation of punishment. Both parties even could not move in certain distance/range of other party's residence.

Sir G, you are right in Pakistan weaker are always the vulnerable. We are in dire need to overhaul our justice system from 'Kuchehri' to 'Courts' but our all successive governments are not interested as this system suits and serve them best.
