No it's not. We are the center of the Arab world and what happens in every single Arab country effects all 22 Arab countries whether we like it or not.
GCC interference is bad but Russian/Iranian/NATO etc. is good. We heard this story from angry Shias on this page hundred of times. Cheetah1986 is leading the choir as always.
If anything this is mostly a internal ARAB matter. Moreover the Syrian regime has been conspiring against fellow Arab countries with support and blessings from Tehran and that will not be acceptable for the Arab leaders, people or world. Simple as that.
Every country has its own interests especially with regards to fellow brethren. Pakistan is no different when it comes to Afghanistan.
The Arab League were all against arming any sides, sending weapons, allowing foreign intervention in the beginning of the protests (first months) but when Assad and his child-murdering gangs started to carpet bomb whole villages, towns, shot on protestors they had no other option than follow the majority of the world and support the FSA politically. Assad is only interested in keeping his power and does not care about Syria otherwise he would have stepped down long ago as many other dictators did when people were calling for their exits.
The world society (after shamefully looking silently at the crisis in Syria in my opinion) suddenly started to arm the rebels in hope of ending the conflict. In my opinion that help and a no-fly zone like that seen in Iraq in the 1990's should have been established LONG ago. It would have spared many innocent/civilian lives from all the carpet bombings of Al-Assad gangs have done. It would also have prevented victims to turn to weapons eager to revenge the death of their loved ones.
Now you have heavily radicalized/traumatized sites and no hope of settling the conflict politically but only militarily. A shame for Syria, the Arab world, the stability of the region and ultimately the world.
Because at the end we all know that the opposition and majority of Syria (Sunnis) will prevail and the longer the Assad shelling and brutality continues the more the majority of Syrians will want revenge and this will again negatively influence the region.
Wrong again, Egypt is the center of the Arab world, geographically and politically.
Therefor if the Arab world would unite, Cairo would be the capital.
