What's new

For all non-Chinese: You don't have the right to tell what China should do. Unless you take responsibility for the consequence.

Every Chinese have high IQ especially Taxi drivers in Beijing. I also hear and admire their comments on USA bla bla....etc

People can talk and gossip and discuss and it will help make things clearer,

However important office bearers, top newspaper of nations need to be very careful about making remarks.
It's not just gossip. US actually interfered China's internal affairs by launching color revolution and propaganda attacks to China. Which led to substantially consequence.

For what? for being able to do so? no, i m not stupid as you. I criticize the government when I feel there's a problem and I did it many times both in PDF and Chinese language social platforms. Are you Chinese or Russian? If you are Chinese you should know most Chinese love the Chinese government and hate US', if you are Russian why do you care this much of what we Chinese think or do?

I do not think your criticism amounts to anything of value. I bet it is soft-lipped, wrapped in layers of cotton, carefully-worded, avoiding sensitive issues (what is not sensitive in China?) and probably behind the walls of VPN and through LINE or WhatsUp if you really dared to ask for, for example, real, deep, serious change.

Yet you, like those in Russia, Turkey or many others, are very much powerless to ask for or cause real change. For instance, they cannot argue and protest against if a man in power decides that he is too essential and indispensable for the good of his people, hence decides in power for another term and maybe longer, can they?

I used to have some faith in the speed and efficiency of authoritarian (not tyrannical) one-man/one-party systems.

But it seems to me that, in the long term, these systems tend to corrupt for sure due to lack of oversight, checks and balances, accountability, and lack of multi-logue.

Russia in Ukraine, Iran in dress-code protests, China in pandemic management.

Politicians and governments make mistakes. Then, there should be accountability. Normally, accountability is assumed at the highest level. It is expressed through elections and change in power, if not through resignation.

Anyways, it is 'their country, their problem,' from my perspective. I say let every country be. If people do not change, governments won't change. Every people is governed the way they deserve.

As you see, I only jump in and express my view when I see efforts to whitewash one's party/regime by simply pointing fingers at others, especially on this pandemic issue, in which we, most of the rest of the world, were on the same ship and experienced similar hardships in varying degrees.

No one cares about what a random foreigner like you thinks about China, you believe China is bad and we think US rots to the core. fair game.

I dont know why all those foreign morons like to tell Chinese how to handle their own affairs all the time, saying whats right or wrong for Chinese to do, Chinese dont do that to these people in any way.

I think the government mishandled it. That's the point of view ofany Chinese, as well, as it seems. State/Party simply extended the pain by irrational lockdowns only to allow the virus to make a full belated circle.

This no one wants to see happen, but it is how experts see it.

Assuming that China actually releases correct numbers (I doubt it, as most people do) while it goes through what the rest of the world did two-three years ago, will you at least have an urge to question the government and seek accountability?

Yet, it is you on a party propaganda mission, not many others. So, you do care.

Many, including me, do not harbor that totalitarian, wholisitic, 'hate for all, and to the core' attitude that you impose here.

Any western countries handled it better than China? they were completely defeated by covid and just gave up.

Do you have any proof? what If I accused you of being a CIA agent without any proof? you are just out of your mind or just a pathetic idiot.

Yes , you do, you can deny it and we can see it clearly. besides, where did I mention hate?

I think the Chinese numbers are much more reliable than those of India and US. You dont have concrete evidence to support your doubt on Chinese numbers and there is no concrete evidence that millions of Chinese will die as in India and US, thats just you and some others speculations. You just want millions of Chinese to die just as in India and US.

Really? So why do still keep posting some random YouTube videos of random foreigners praising China?

If it's a praise, you share; if it's a criticism, "no one cares about what a random foreigner thinks about China"?

Any western countries handled it better than China?

Australia and New Zealand handled it pretty well. They are completely open with very low death rates.

Because they are foreigners living in China, they are not random foreigners and know the country they lived in, what a random PDF China hater knows anything about China? besides, posting videos don't always I care about them, not even mean I support them. I post not friendly videos about China too.

Like what? Looking at just death rates? If so, North Korea is doing among the best. If we are looking as it holistically, then yes IMO they are doing better than China in Covid response.

We use Singapore death of 2020 to 2021 to extrapolate how many people will die in China. I guess will be about 2 millions more per year. We can see in case of Singapore there is a increase in death compared to 2017-2018-2019.

Now omicron is much less lethal.

What if China opens up earlier exposing her residence to more lethal alpha, and delta, It could be easily more than 10 millions.

US vaccines don't work better than China's, otherwise you won't see these many infections and deaths there.

China can say the same to US vaccines

That’s a misconception. Vaccination doesn’t stop being infected it stops you from getting seriously ill or worse. No vaccine is perfect. Not mRNA. The problem with China vaccines is you use traditional method of inactive virus gene. But this coronavirus mutate faster than you can create new vaccines. That’s a rat race you can’t win.
