Footage of F/A-18 Downing a Su-22, The First US Air-to-Air Kill Since Late 90s

In protecting U.S. troops. Have you read the article? Bet you be saying man the Americans don't give a **** and just let them bomb the Americans like that.

Dodged the AIM9X but couldn't dodge the older AIM-120.

Its not cowardice, allowing the the bomber to kill U.S. troops while you are watching would be cowardice.

How about keeping those US troops in the US?

Send a fitter in an airspace monitored by the most effective C4ISR system in the world, against one of the most deadly aircraft in the world armed with the best air to air weapons ans flown by some of the best trained airmen; then expect to be given a “fair” ground?

Su-22 was on mission attacking ISIS in support of SAA near Tabqa when F-18 ambushed it. Talk about shooting down an attack plane that has no radar. That's like saying MiG-29 shoot down an A-10 and bragging about it.

Bet you said that every time the U.S. is at war. Whether its against Japan or Iraq.

What's your proof it was targeting US troops? AFAIK it was targeting ISIS when an F-18 shot it down.
After three attempts to warn off the Syrian jet with close overhead passes and flares, the Su-22 “he [proceeded] to execute a dive and release ordnance in proximity of friendly forces,” forcing Lt. Cmdr Tremel to engage and ultimately destroy the offending aircraft.

Read and weep. You know its a fact that U.S. and other forces are in Syria. And just recently Syria and Russian mercenary forces tried to attack U.S. Special Forces and got routed by the U.S. Air Force. What would have happened if they hadn't?

BS. Turkey F-16 shot down Russia Su-24 after warning. Could have flown next to the plane to give them a visual warning. But no, has to be shooting missiles to warn.

That's like saying, yeah, I shot him down with a missile. That was my warning.

No. We were attacked by Japan. What we are doing in the Middle East, I have no idea.

Fighting ISIS, remember that Iraq was losing until we intervene and Syria is the birth of ISIS which by the way was used at a base of operations to fight the U.S. led coalition since the invasion of Iraq in 2003. Hence why Syria has so many insurgents.

The pilot did fly and shot out flares to warn him. Don't know the Turks method of warning. Russians still didn't care.

Ah yes...the US invasion of Iraq in 2003. Why did we do that again?

The Su-22 was not targeting SDF or Americans. There were no SDF or American casualties. Trump shot it down because Trump hates Muslims. Hillary called Trump a racist, Islamophobic, homophobic, xenophobic, sexist, pussy grabbing, narcissistic man child.
