'Food fascism': Critics slam India's beef police

This business is more complicated than commonly understood. There is an intra Muslim clash between the Qureshis & the Meo-Muslims. It's the Qureshis who are in the business of selling biriyanis using what they say is buffalo meat and the Meo-Muslims are largely opposed to this and the Qureshis believe that Meo-Muslims have joined hands with Hindus against them and are behind the complaints about beef. It's not purely Muslims versus Hindus, more Qureshis versus everyone else.

. . .

it can't all be tears on a day like this.. Let's ROCK! HACK THE PLANET!!! :D

this is the last playlist of Rock music that's useful in the context of all that is posted at defence.pk this week and month :)

i'm gonna eat something, and go for a short random-routes walk to stretch my legs.. it's 17:26pm here at the moment and i have 1 appointment around 18:00pm to 20:00pm for which i have to be at home, but to come to the point : i'm gonna go for a longer-than-usual walk in the blessed evening sun we have this week in my country. Feels like the spring season at night, nobody wants to miss being outdoors at such times ;) Hell i may even score a young hotty woman to spend (part of) the evening with :)

from the same playlist, i give you all the masterful show by DK Yoo...

and for the guys there's

my appointment (to drop something off at my place) happened moments ago..
i'm gonna prepare for a nice night-walk..

there's no need to worry about me at all.

and wake up refreshed for another round in the biggest boxing match ever witnessed on this planet (ok it's a world war and there were many heroes and tragic losses in previous world wars.. i'll never deny that...)

(and i could go for a walk right after posting this one, but ehm, it's only beginning to get less hot and humid outside in my Netherlands (18:19pm CEST now))

ok, with this one i've run out of songs applicable to this week's mood on our defence.pk/forums.. :)
the last one that i'll post for about 12 hours from now..

Hmm you seems to be the only one who have some knowledge. Rest are opportunists as usual.

Which part of UP you comes from?

The "food police" in all nations should have the power to enforce "truth-in-labeling" laws so that consumers have a chance to make decisions about what to east based on their own health requirements and cultural beliefs. We have many jokes in the USA about what meat is actually used in many Chinese restaurants. If they were using dog or cat meat in some dish, instead of the promised pork or beef, I would want our "food police" to publicize it and fine them.

The issue in India is a bit different....they are not concerned that Hindus might mistakenly eat beef....they are opposed to killing cows altogether....its a different than Muslim people's issues with pork or Westerner's issues with cats and dogs.....Some hindus literally accept cows as deities.

My post was for India, and what happens in India. You are also in no place to comment on India.
A anti-Muslim bigot like you are in no place to make demands on this forum:lol:
Plus I didn't say anything about india in this thread:crazy:

Yes, I understand in theory, but like any religion I don't believe in, it's hard to completely sympathize with the belief that cows are deities. So, on the theory that "you are what you eat", one could become a god, oneself, with enough trips to McDonald's ...

Are you making this one up? Why would any restaurant owner use dog meat to substitute dirt cheap pork or beef?

Its a joke based on a stereotype that Asians eat dogs and cats.

Duh. Because the restaurant owner doesn't have to buy this dogs, he gets them from animal control? (Lighten up, my post was tongue-in-cheek.)
