What's new

Flight of Iranian "Yasin" jet

The resemblance to the Chilean ENAER Halcon II is uncanny. Goes to show how similar the concept/designs are.

Not really.Iran is ruled by a theocratic regime which came into power by revolution. And historically revolutions never survive for very long b/c they empower only certain segment of society.there are massive protests in Iran in every decade and everytime their intensity sets new records.

But Iranians also hold elections and elect their representatives, so the government is run by the peope of Iran but the theocratic revolutionary control the foreign policy, military and defence. Other nations follow the same, their establishment controls the defence, foreign policies but they allow the people to elect their representatives in the parliament.

That's stupid comment.
Your comment is stupid and it doesn't belong here

Yes "Iran revolution change in 2 years don't worry", we know, you said it countless times in the section. In February this is going to be the 44th year of failed color revolutions and useless predictions.

Comment on political thread, this is the 10th time we see you posting offtopic comments with the same comments over random threads

"Iran revolution change in 2 years don't worry",
It's stupid for people to assume that revolution will end in only two years. At the moment, spark is there as exhibited by the huge protests across Iran by anti regime segments of society and counter protests by regime supporters.
This clearly shows the huge faultlines in Iranian society brought by the imposition of certain segment of society in Power.

But Iranian anti-regime movement lacks leadership. So guessing time for regime fall is stupid.

Folks;why are all these training jets resemble each other?!

They are all based on a standard design developed around the 60's in Europe.

The British low wing BAE Hawk,

the French/German Dassault/Dornier High wing Alpha Jet

and the mid-wing Kawasaki T-4 in Japan

are common & advanced early examples

Previous to this, there were all sorts of non-standard jet trainer designs such as the Belgian/French Fouga Magister,

we had some in BAF and I believe PAF also had some. These are all advanced Jet trainers for training before pilots go on into actual operational fighter jet squadrons.

Eventually - the French Alphajet Low wing design got standardized. Argentina, Chile, Spain all came up with similar alpha jet type designs.

Why does the K-8 resemble Bae Hawk? Maybe design inspiration? What does it matter?

It uses the same well-proven design principles. Sometimes Westerners would accuse Russians of copying US/UK airliner designs. But in actuality - they'd use the same principles of aerodynamic design and those do not vary so much...

Here is a British Vickers VC-10

And here is an Ilyushin IL-62 (Soviet design)

Both are rear-mounted quad engine airplanes. Neither is a copy of each other, though they look almost identical.

They were both developed to solve the same problem, quietly (because of rear engine mounting) transport about 200 people using a aerodynamically clean wing design that was free from turbulence-induced instability at low approach speeds.
