After COAS and DGISI's emergency visit to Kabul, the Afghan President Dr. Ashraf Ghani has ordered the capture and arrest of Mullah Fazlullah the leader of TTP who's hiding in Kunar province of Afghanistan. If he is captured, he will be extradited to Pakistan.

Raheel Shareef must have issued some threats and warnings to him , of hot pursuits and surgical strikes and all that. Ghani is a smart and careful individual, by ordering his forces to carry out operations against TTP in Kunar and Nuristan, he calms down the angry Pakistan which is blaming his country for the attack. But any operation of Afghan forces in kunar would be as "hypocritical" as zarb-e-azb........remember that there are also Afghan Taliban in Kunar and Nuristan, so the operation would not be really against TTP but Afghan Taliban, though in the official statements , it will also speak of targeting TTP just like Pak army was talking about targeting haqqani network even though they were provided safe exits to kurram and Hangu.

If he fails, we will do it ourselves.

I was also pointing to that since Afghanistan cant conduct air strikes on its own, a joint operation is needed.
In Afghanistan history, the bombardments of Afghan villages by PAF in 50s and 60s (in relation to Pashtunistan issue) are remembered in extreme bitterness ........any involvement of PAF or Pakistani ground troops in Kunar and nuristan would arouse extreme anger and nationalistic sentiments in their population. Think about it, when and why they burn pakistani flags?

I doubt that Ghani would allow it.

We don't have to wait for his approval. If he acts, we will reciprocate, otherwise we will use military force till objectives are achieved. ISAF has no problem with it either.

Pakistan does not have the political will or the international credibility to do a COIN operation across the border. Its all big talk and diplomatic posturing.

This is what governments do when they find their lands are being used to create troubles in the neighboring state. Learn Pakistan something from Afghanistan. Rather than shielding , punish those are involved in Mumbai terror attacks.

Let's release it in the news that we're coming for you. Now be a good boy Fazlullah and stay in the same location so we can catch you.

Bloody idiots.
Spot on! Announcing it to the world was a bad idea! Should have been kept secret. This turd has probably reached Karachi by now!

Perhaps its time you should also learn from Balochistan and Fata (with so called fighters funded by RAW and Indian intelligence agencies).
