FL Technics to open commercial aircraft MRO stations in Poland, Russia, Bangladesh, and Malta - Avionics Intelligence

VILNIUS, Lithuania, 12 April 2012. Aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) specialist FL Technics in Vilnius, Lithuania, is opening seven new line maintenance stations across Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Asia-Pacific, company officials announced this week.
FL Technics officials are opening the new MRO facilities to take advantage of promising aviation markets throughout Europe and Asia. "Being in the right place at the right time is the main rule when selecting the direction for any business and even more so in aviation," explains Jonas Butautis, chief executive officer of FL Technics. "It is all about the proximity which is one of the key factors for airlines choosing their MRO partners."

The seven new FL Technics aircraft MRO facilities will open between now and June. The locations are Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Bangladesh; Malta International Airport on Malta; Moscow Vnukovo International Airport, Russia; and four airports in Poland -- Krakow International Airport; Szczecin–Goleniów Airport; Poznan'Lawica Airport; and Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport.
FL Technics will offer services in all seven new line maintenance stations including on-call maintenance; pre-flight, daily, weekly checks and component replacements; inspections; and repairs. Line maintenance support will include round-the-clock aircraft-on-ground (AOG) services, company officials say.
The FL Technics MRO station to open Saturday in Dhaka, Bangladesh, is a joint project of FL Technics and its partner Avalon Aviation Ltd. FL Technics Storm, part of FL Technics, will provide complex line maintenance services for Boeing 737, Boeing 747-400/800, Boeing 767, Airbus A320, Airbus A330, Airbus A340, and ATR42/72 types of aircraft.
FL Technics also provides MRO services for SAAB, ATR 42/72, Bombardier CRJ, Embraer 145, Boeing 757 and 777, and Airbus A380. The company operates two base maintenance facilities in Lithuania and Ukraine, as well as a network of 32 line stations across Europe, the CIS, Africa and Asia-Pacific.
