Fiscal Budget 2019-20

.
ANDDD the opposition is on floor chanting "go niazi go"!

So far, i will call this a BOLD BUDGET. WIll need some more time to analyze if it was a good one too. However so far, from what i have heard so far, it is bold for sure. Gov have not hesitated from taking the difficult steps required despite knowing that the opposition will use it politically. This is a good step.

.
i think this budget is made by imf so govt should not be blamed as they have no power to make budget of their own choice

. . .
decrease in defense budget and taxes on electricity, increase in sales tax rate and many other measures which govt has indicated they will take are all imf demands
And you know this how exactly? What parameters have you gauged it against to come to this conclusion? Please enlighten us all?

These are NOT IMF demands. These are the government's decisions to meets its financial obligations.

Gov have not hesitated from taking the difficult steps required despite knowing that the opposition will use it politically

The government has no other choice.

The government has no other choice.
True. Perhaps it is better for us this way!

Usually the governments will keep political ramifications first before presenting a budget and some hard and required steps are ignored. This time the government had no other choice but to take those steps and forget about political implications and present a budget which is bold. I hope it works.

The danger here is the opposition will start doing exactly what PTI did when it was seeking power. Pakistan will suffer yet again.

You already started it wrong by citing wrong example. Have you read the decrease in defense budget and the grounds on it? Its the military that has done it citing an example which is now forced upon other government departments to follow. The exact words of PM were if Army can do it why cant the other government departments?
Electricity was already on the agenda. If you want to use AC be prepared to pay for it as well.
Again sales tax was bound to increase because the shortfall in revenue collection cannot be overcome through magic. On one hand People are not willing to pay direct taxes on their income, and on the other they want development?
And as for IMF demands IMF is a lending institution, they will not give money unless they know it would be returned as would any bank and giving the deficit that we have, nobody is willing to lend us anything without the structural reforms. Merely saying its an IMF budget is nonsense because there is no short come to structural reforms. PTI could very well have taken the same popular short come that PMLN and PPP took and leave Pakistan for a bigger mess for the next government which is the norm however this government has decided to tackle it themselves and not leave mess for future governments. Lets give credit where its due.

.
God, these PPP and PML goons are so stupid, can't focus on the budget cuz of their randi rona.

. .
i not think they have taken long term steps for economical revival, they are only on talkshows ,govt has not established any training center for youth for skilled work ,in u.s their govt has started taking actions against universities and colleges which not provide vocational training,in germany at age of 10yrs their children are given vocational training to become skilled students but our university graduates not have such skills, educational reform not require any legislation and govt has their own govt in kpk and punjab where most population lives but they have failed to establish such institutes. These are long term steps but govt is only focusing n imposing taxes and nothing more than that, even govt raise money through taxes but if youth and public is incapable to do anyrthing this money will be wasted. It would be much better instead of wasting money on shelter house they spend this money on training these homeless poor so they not remain burden on govt
