First Woman Suicide Bomber of Pakistan

Beep Beep (Road runner)

Any comments?

Or will you continue to shroud the truth with your half truths and ingenuous and contrived disinformation?

Quite disgraceful since it gives a wrong iinformation to non Moslems, who will use this to go hammer and tongs in other forums!

Just because daboing1 might be the strongest political supporter of India, inadvertently or not, does not mean that what he comes out with is truth, or fact. It's pretty obvious he hasn't got a clue about the dress codes in Afghanistan and for sure not the frontier province. I should as I've been there many times, lived there, and still know many people from right in the centre of the province.

Anyone who thinks that you cannot distinguish a local Pashtun woman from one that's come into the frontier as a refugee from Afghanistan is clueless (this does not mean that the Afghans who come in can't dress as frontiers people)..but you won't get frontiers people dressing as Afghani nationals, as this woman was.

EDIT: I'm confused - The Pakistani covering - is it called Hijab or Burqa?

Pakistani covering is called dupatta (mainly in Punjab). Some wear Hijab, majority go for duputta or no head covering. The Niqab is rarely worn (unless you work in Lal Masjid). Duputta is mainly in Punjab. However, Salim's article is completely bogus. Nothing of the sort..Not even in the frontier province.

I'm wondering why her identity even matters. She could be a Martian for all I care. The bigger issue is that parts of Pakistan have become a hotbeds for extremists who are successfully generating large cadres of terrorists of different backgrounds. There needs to be a concerted movement to stop this cycle of violence and eliminate the root problems from the fabric of society. 2 pages of heated debate on the color of her hijab won't really change anything.

My 2 cents.

If the person named is a strong supporter of India, then it gives a new meaning to the words, "strong supporter"!!!!!!!!!

And also the fact that you too are a bosom friend of India!

Indeed the Afghan woman had a name-tag and the flag of Afghanistan flying with a button having Karzai's face!

For a start..Knowing where the person comes from will lead to a pinpointing of the exact location of where these extremists come from. Secondly, based on the logic of the first point, it would shut people like you up that know very little, and speak very much..people who claim that that area of Pakistan is a hotbed for extremists (which it isn't, as I know all too well) - these people are a recent phenomenon and come from abroad. The whole ideology is foreign, and this was demonstrated in Swat. Pinpointing where these people come from, will demonstrate the source of the problem if they happen to come from the same area.

Salim, sarcasm can only get you so far. Your article has been proved bogus, and you have demonstrated you don't know much of the dress codes in any region, including India in fact.

Indeed!

Only you alone wear a dress !

Aryan in europe is normally associated with hitler and master race bullsh*t.

No I am not a Nazi Lover... and Aryan doesn't mean a race as opposed to Persian and Nazi beliefs.. to call Aryan a race is wrong...

My usage of Aryan is based on Sanskrit..
Arya - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The important Sanskrit lexicon Amarakośa (ca. 450 AD) defines ārya thus: "An ārya is one who hails from a noble family, of gentle behavior and demeanor, good-natured and of righteous conduct. (mahākula kulinārya sabhya sajjana sadhavah.)"

I agree with you Energon..

Dear Roadrunner, if you see the string of terror attacks perpetrated by Islam practicing terrorists..(an oxymoron really).. one will notice that these people come from all parts of Islamic world.. From what I infer the kind of Islam they follow is more intolerant than the previously thought intolerant ie Whabi.. a kind of mutant hybrid(hope it is not offensive)

Secondly, based on the logic of the first point, it would shut people like you up that know very little, and speak very much..people who claim that that area of Pakistan is a hotbed for extremists (which it isn't, as I know all too well) - these people are a recent phenomenon and come from abroad.

Dear Sir, without Pakistani sympathizers and connivance of Pakistani individuals such an act would be implausible and impossible..

The fact that from your earlier rational stand(at times) you chose to get personal implies that you take it as an insult.. Sitting here on this forum I don't think again that anyone here is trying to insult but are concerned..

The whole ideology is foreign, and this was demonstrated in Swat. Pinpointing where these people come from, will demonstrate the source of the problem if they happen to come from the same area.

Dear Sir, the ideology of hate is not something exported or imported or foreing
It is preached and propagated.. Some if not most Madrasas in Pakistan teach Whabism... and it is possible that some have been "infiltrated" with very extremist individuals whose philosophies are contrary to the philosophies of Islam...
It is easy to lure children in the tribal belt & "foreigners" who are poor, illiterate themsleves..Having an education in Quran and in a foreign language which you don't understand like most Mullahs I imagine in tribal belts.. will not really fetch you jobs.. and the Saudi support Madrasas entalis that Whabi will be taught.. this is my 2+2..

I believe some Madrasas like the Lal Masjid one's can come or are under the control of extremists.. it is a matter of ego that whether a suicide bomber was a Pashtun, Punjabi etc. or whether foreign or Pakistani..

The fact dear sir,, is that these people are in your country, have support from people, preach hate, are developing a support base.. and for all practical purposes are living amongst you as normal citizens at times.. the multitude of attacks have proved that...

Though the scale of these operations ostensibly appears to be large and largely relegated to the areas not under Pakistani control on the ground.. what it is at ground reality is anyone's guess..

I have further heard that Pakistani soldiers are not keen on fighting agaisnt people the consider their brethren.. and that these "extremists" do enjoy support amongst the army as well .. how big?? God knows..

My sincere belief is that only education and prosperity can bring relief but in the mean time some stop-gap measures should be in place if not already so...

Right, they come from all over the Islamic, world, indeed they even come from India, and even Western societies.

From what I infer the kind of Islam they follow is more intolerant than the previously thought intolerant ie Whabi.. a kind of mutant hybrid(hope it is not offensive)

Infer as you like.

Dear Sir, without Pakistani sympathizers and connivance of Pakistani individuals such an act would be implausible and impossible..

Not really. With a porous border, together with no government record system or control in the tribal areas, it's in fact very easy to drive from Afghanistan into the tribal areas of Pakistan. One does not even need to let any Pakistanis know of their presence if they do not want to. But I don't believe I ever denied some tribals are hiding some of these foreigners who wreak havoc in Pakistan and are a source of these acts.

The fact that from your earlier rational stand(at times) you chose to get personal implies that you take it as an insult.. Sitting here on this forum I don't think again that anyone here is trying to insult but are concerned..

Yep. You're really concerned "dear sir".

Most madrassahs have been reformed in Pakistan. The Indian ones I'm not sure about. There is little control over the Afghan madrassahs.

Nothing like purging a few Indian-backed extremists.

From a friend's friend who knows another friend who in turn is a soldier in the PA and phoned up your dad's uncle who relayed you this information through a gramophone in your cousin's latrine, no doubts.

My sincere belief is that only education and prosperity can bring relief but in the mean time some stop-gap measures should be in place if not already so...

No doubts the endless amount of garbage (read here from the invented lies to hypocrisy) you come out with would be enough to plug any stop-gap permanently.

Well thank god she didn't kill anybody. Hey just had a thought if a suicide bomber is supposed to get 72 virgins in heaven wouldn't that make her a lesbian and therefore against radical Islam? The photo was kinda surprising i thought it was gonna be alot worse than it was. I mean i have seen shows on the history channel that had like 50 thousand people getting there heads chopped of and there bodies being desecrated and eaten. Compared to that this was pretty mild.

Should give you an idea of what the Pak Army feels:

One thing you notice if you visit the homes of retired generals in Pakistan is that they live in a lavish fashion typical of South America’s dictatorship-era military elite. They control most of the country’s economy and real estate, and like President Musharraf, himself a former general, they do not want to relinquish power.

Although there is a secularist strain in the Pakistani military, it has been aligned with religious hard-liners since the army’s inception in 1947. Many officers still see their duty as defending the Muslim world, but their raison d’être has been undermined by the fact that though Pakistan was founded as a refuge for South Asia’s Muslims, more Muslims today live in India. They seem to envy the jihadis’ clarity. The militants had no identity crises. According to Najim Sethi, a prominent Pakistani journalist, military officers often have “a degree of self-disgust for selling themselves” to the Americans, and they still bear a grudge against the United States for abandoning them after the Afghan jihad and, more recently, for sanctioning Pakistan over its nuclear program. The standard army phrase about the Americans was, he said, “They used us like a condom.”

Officers spoke to me as if they were simply translating the feelings of the jihadis
for a tone-deaf audience, but they sounded more like ventriloquists. One retired colonel I spoke to was a relative of a Taliban leader from Waziristan, Abdullah Massoud, who had earned both sympathy and reverence for his time in Guantánamo Bay. Massoud was captured fighting the Americans and the Northern Alliance and spent two years there, claiming to be a simple Afghan Talib. Upon his release, he made it home to Waziristan and resumed his war against the U.S. With his long hair, his prosthetic limb and impassioned speeches, he quickly became a charismatic inspiration to Waziristan’s youth.

Since 2001, some of Waziristan’s tribes have refused to hand over Qaeda members living among them. Under intense American pressure, Pakistan agreed for the first time in its history to invade the tribal areas. Hundreds of civilians and soldiers were killed. American helicopters were seen in the region, as were American spies. The militants (with some army accomplices) retaliated with two assassination attempts against Musharraf late in 2003. He struck back, but as the civilian casualties mounted and the military began to balk at killing Pakistanis, Musharraf agreed to a deal in the spring of 2004 whereby the militants would give up their guests in return for cash. Pakistani officers and the militants hugged and shed tears during a public reconciliation. But the militants did not relinquish their Al Qaeda guests, and they took advantage of the amnesty to execute tribal elders they said had helped the Pakistani military. The tribal structure in Waziristan was devastated, and the Taliban took to the streets to declare the Islamic emirate of Waziristan. Since Musharraf signed a truce with the militants last month, attacks launched from Waziristan into Afghanistan, according to NATO, have risen by 300 percent.

“Muslim governments are not able to face the Americans,” the retired colonel from Waziristan said, explaining the mujahedeen mind-set. “If Muslim governments should stand up against duplicity and foreign hegemonic designs, and they don’t, who will? Someone has to stand up to defend the Muslim countries, and it’s this that gives the jihadis the courage and zeal to stand up to the worst atrocities. This is the core issue of the mujahedeen movement. You call it the war on terror. The mujahedeen call it jihad.” And so, essentially, did he.

Right, they come from all over the Islamic, world, indeed they even come from India, and even Western societies.

Yes absolutely.. the brainwashing of the terror mongers have claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of simple muslim youth..

Though my dear friend you can't argue that RAW is sending them..

Infer as you like.

I infer from you not arguing here, dear sir, that you also acknowledge the same..

Many of these tribal lands are beyond the control of the govt of Pakistan.. one must acknowledge the tribal rules, in such places..
Also they live in poverty and most kids if educated are educated in Quran in mostly Whabi Madrasas...

Yep. You're really concerned "dear sir".

Dear sir, it is the land of my ancestors...for me not too be concerned is wrong.
At the same time the implication of such acts in Pakistan are a concern as it makes one to automatically think of all Muslims as terrorists, and which is a cause of concern as some 175mn Muslims live in India and I wish that they not be involved or associated with the Satanic activities taking place in your country..

Most madrassahs have been reformed in Pakistan. The Indian ones I'm not sure about. There is little control over the Afghan madrassahs.

Dear Sir, as much as you would like to believe your government reforming extremism of such kind is generally impossible in my humble opinion..

The Saudi fundings resulted in their form of Islam, whabi has been propagated in south asia.. further, some sick and twisted scholars have made this into a much more intolerant form and which resulted in them declaring war on Saudi govt as well...

the Indian Madrasas are indeed involved in Pakistans' suicide bombing acts, then let the Pakistan govt complain and if found to be abetting this crime, then must be razed to the ground and all these godless men must be executed... for bringing disrespect to my land and the religion of the prophet..

the Afghan Madrasas I agree are uncontrollable..

Again in English, "dear sir".
Are you on drugs at the moment by any chance?

Yes sir I perfectly understand that you are indeed talking in the language of our colonial masters..

though avoiding is not what I expected of you but with no disrespect I expected you to not back off but it appears here you have conceded perhaps?

if you call, Strepsils a drug then yes else No..
though several years back I had tried some illegal drugs left a very distasteful experience and one which I will never repeat..

Which people? The suicide bombings that have happened in Pakistan to date have been mainly done by foreigners in my opinion.

Okay for the sake of argument let us imagine them to be foreigners.. dear sir what I am saying is that there are sympathisers and supporters of these people else they would not be able to operate with such impunity.. whether it be Lal Masjid folks, etc..

The Suicide attacks in India and Kashmir are then done by??

You're saying they're done by Pakistanis. The proof in this instance points to someone from Afghanistan (perhaps a Tajik or a North African immigrant) doing it.

Sir here you inferred wrong..

I said the women looks like a Pashtun and is most likely a Pakistani..

I do not expect you or the govt to acknowledge the fact she is Pakistani irresp of the truth as it will look very bad on the country I understand it..

For your sake and the Pakistanis let us assume her to be a foreigner.. a single woman roaming around in Peshawar with bombs laden on her, a foreigner from a foreign attacking Pakistan without supporters and sympathisers in Pakistan is for me hard to digest..

Nothing like purging a few Indian-backed extremists.

Sir I did not get it?
I think fanatics and extremists from every country and religion are going to hell irresp of whether they think otherwise..
I am a great believer of Hazrat Chishti Sahab and he preaches that looking down fellow humans is worse than any sin.. therefore let all extremists perish and be condemned to hell and on this very earth...

From a friend's friend who knows another friend who in turn is a soldier in the PA and phoned up your dad's uncle who relayed you this information through a gramophonen your cousin's latrine, no doubts.

Dear sir your hand at sarcasm is no doubt a worthy effort though in this regard I will let you believe what you wish.. I have a few Pakistani friends and with their permission, I shall endeavour to give their numbers and addresses and names to you so that you can cross check if you so wish...

I hope that fellow Pakistanis will chip in.. as I have little doubt that an average Pakistani soldier does not want to kill his own people.

No doubts the endless amount of garbage (read here from the invented lies to hypocrisy) you come out with would be enough to plug any stop-gap permanently.

Dear Sir, me born in an enemy nation stirs so much hate in you is both awe inspiring and frightening and with large doses of sadly condemnation towards you..
I hope that I have not entered this forum to mock you, your country, and the muslims of your country... I would like to believe I have criticised my list as much as yours if not more..

No I am not a Nazi Lover... and Aryan doesn't mean a race as opposed to Persian and Nazi beliefs.. to call Aryan a race is wrong...
