First Turkish F-35A Now Under Construction HD

It became a trollfest rather than defense forum.
I would like to see some unified turkish F35 thread with specs, unit symbols, local achievements and more.

Indeed. Middle East & Africa section is full of Saudian social achievements like Rihanna's new f**ker!

Actually a nice guy. With some perceptual disturbance a bit of aggression problems and maybe too much conspiracy theories.

As far as i know he doesnt insult anyone he shouldn't be banned let him speak. We have to treat him with mercy not hatred

First F-35s will be operated from 7. Turkish AF main Base in Malatya and will reactivate the 2009 frozen 172. Fighter Fleet. Then 171. Fighter Fleet will get F-35s. Fighter Fleets 111 and 112 in Eskisehir will follow. If there is no delay up to 2026 all active Turkish Phantoms will be deactivated and some F4-2020 will keep at depot level.
Pilot training, maintenance and spare facilities, runway and taxi way preparations in the mentioned bases are going on.

Isn't you an Italian now ? You mixed up everything again! LOL

I guess your referring to bloomberg article that @KediKesenFare posten in European section, maybe you should have read it carefully.

“There are a lot of different levels of technology transfer,” and any offer to Turkey would probably be limited in terms of sophistication, said Makienko, the Moscow-based analyst. “For Turkey to be able to copy the S-400 system, it would have to spend billions to create a whole new industry.”

So basically a very expensive local production, the only thing speaking for the deal is the time, if it wasnt a urgent purchase then it would make no sense to buy the system at all while Turkish industry is already working on a indigenous system.

You're right but he still has a point. The fact that Kreml agreed to produce this system outside of Russia is something really remarkable. The parts you've bolded are correct but yet noone knows the real capabilities of Turkey in the field of missile tech. We have got hints of several ongoing (more or less) secret projects but of course nothing's sure respectively signed yet. So, I guess, even Russia is taking a little risk at this point. I have this feeling that this project, if realised, will encourage an important breakthrough in our missile related R&D.

We'll get dozens of modern S400 missiles. You can't make me believe that we won't secretly "look" inside of one of these. What about the radar systems? Having them is good, it's also a kind of political leverage on Russia. Also keep in mind that Russia must be convinced that Turkey won't let NATO touch these systems. We all know they're already working on S500 but still it would help Western scientists a lot to have a profound insight of this system.

All in all, it's a deal I would describe as "acceptable" (= stopgap solution).

@Combat-Master

I have a question regarding the Yildirim missiles. Did we purchase blueprints or something like that or did we RE the missiles?

Rumors,
2 units os S-400 will be delivered in 2018 and 2 will be constructed in Turkey for an agreement of 2.5 BL.USD.. There will be no TOT of course.
Turkey will have first time ever an air defence system like this out of NATO protection umbrella. What makes it important is that we will be familiar those systems even more. This is an unique gain after all.

No F-35s to Turkey until Erdogan is gone.
We will listen to you yanks and hey, even work with you sometimes. But the Turkish people will not submit to you - that's the Saudis job. Erdogan, luckily, it not immortal. Anyway, we'll get those f35s and you will sit there and watch like a good little boy. ;)

The story of Project J, as well as Project Kasirga, goes back to the first half 1990's, when negotiations for the joint production and technology transfer of M-270 MLRS artillery rocket system were failed. After the shelving of the project, Turkey started to seek other alternatives, mainly focused on full sovereignty over critical technologies in order to establish self sufficient missile and guidance technology capability infrastructure. After signing of a contract for the licensed production of WS-1 under the name of Kasirga in 1997, a similar contract was signed with CPMIEC (Chinese Precision Machinery Import and Export Corporation) for the B-611 SRBM system in late 1998 covering licensed production of a battery of B-611 with more than 200 missiles, for a reported cost of USD 300,000,000.

Muslim umha. Anyone remembers teaching of our holy Prophet (pbuh)?
Palestine Flag:

The flag used by the Arab Palestinian nationalists in the first half of the 20th century is the flag of the 1916 Arab Revolt.

They should ask Brits for help, not Turks.

My understanding from Ummah is; fellow Muslims daggering Turks from the back.

"I think he's a jew" based on facts and simply cause of ur own personal racism reasons.
and even if he's jew I don't see how that's relevant to ur comment

Jews hide their identity. This is historically proven and it is not a secret.
Why are Jews ashamed for their identity?
