Zebronic....HAL sitara is going to be a intermediate trainer. But LCA is going to be multirole aircraft. Dont you think that cockpit of LCA need to be more more advance than a intermediate trainer?

Cockpit design can be judged by looking at the number of MFD used in there...
There are 3 MFD in LCA...whereas in HAL Sitara, there are one MFD in the rear seat and one MFD in the front seat. So naturally LCA cockpit design is more advanced than IJT.:cheers:

This aircraft is going to replace the Kiran Mk2, I wonder if the Surya Kirans will be re-equipped as well..

Well This would Replace all the HJT-16 Kiran's we have , and Also The Surya Kirans & Sagar Pawan's acrobatic Team would be Re equipped with HJT 36 Sitara....

The HJT 36 Sitara is undoubtedly lined up to replace the Kiran as a trainer. But will it replace the aircraft of the "Surya Kiran" and "Sagar Pawans" has still not been decided. Unless any of you is privy to that decision. It has'nt even been inducted in to service yet. So the Kirans are likely to continue in that role, pending the final decision Actually the Hawk trainers are very suitable candidates for this job also. The RAF "Red Arrows" fly Hawks for some years already, while the IAF has been using them for a while now. So it it seems to be a toss-up. Final verdict awaited.

Around 225 IJTs are to be produced for use by the IAF, IN, as well as the Air Force's Surya Kiran aerobatic team. Well no Idea about the sagar Pawans though...
