A 36 episode TV series Beijing Youth will be on air on PTV. It was dubbed into Urdu in Karachi. China Radio Intl translated it from Chinese

Beijing Youth is a famous Chinese serial directed by Zhao Bao, is about four cousins born and raised in Beijing. These four Beijing youths work hard towards their respective goals and experience trials and tribulations in life and love.

Recently PTV and China Radio International signed an agreement to broadcast the drama dubbed into Urdu on national TV in early November.

“The translation of the drama is in place, the quality of the sound is good, the actors in the play are very capable and we can concentrate on the modern China’s customs,” deputy director of the Pakistani state television station.

Previously, many Turkish-Urdu dubbed drama series are being shown on different Pakistani channels.

. . . .
You have been reported for being a false flag.

@waz take care of this guy

eh? :astagh:

Lets not kid ourselves. While China is an important and strategic ally - its only because of shared interests based on regional politics. Its been a long and nice relationship, but we shouldnt let that be an influence on Pakistan and our source of reliance - I know alot of enemies of Pakistan would love to see a rift between China and Pakistan, but there has to be mutual respect for the cultures of each others - it goes without saying tbh.

China has to play it smart (because they are the ones operating in Pakistan). India will latch onto any opportunity to fund "extremists" if it means that China-Pak relations are affected.

Having said that, it doesnt mean that Pakistan drama series are fit or upto the islamic standard anyway.

I'm not sure about new movies or shows but remember older Pakistani shows and movies were aired in China on some channels. My grandma would watch them and would tell me about it. Those shows gave her a very positive view of Pakistanis.

Airing in China would require some channel to find a financial reason to air it, some Chinese speak Urdu but not many so shows are best subtitled in Chinese. Now that most people watch internet shows its better to have the show hosted on a Chinese video platform.

Chinese cable/satellite TV shows a lot of stuff from around the world, I remember watching Star Wars on Chinese TV. Its not like China is entirely closed to the world's media. Some Chinese watch American/British shows to learn English and Western culture, some Chinese find interest in learning Urdu after they listen to Pakistani songs and sing them because they think it sounds nice or after watching Pakistani dramas.

I'm sure it would be fairly easy for Pakistan to get its shows onto Chinese TV.
