First case of Indian variant detected in pakistan

Pakistan should ramp up its vaccination campaign especially in remote areas. First, ppl with comorbidities and elderly then middle-aged, young adults, and then finally kids. Pakistan should achieve 80-90% vaccination rates in the elderly and people with comorbid issues such as obesity, pulmonary and cardiac issues. Interestingly, there is new data now that people being treated for depression have worse outcomes with coronavirus infection

Oftentimes, COVID does not convert into full-blown ARDS and ppl have mild symptoms. Most casualties are with the elderly and people with other comorbidities. Pakistan must prepare for this eventuality. As far as resources go, hospitals are not meant to have the ICU load seen with coronavirus and most countries will be overwhelmed. This is why vaccinations should be the priority.

There is nothing really magical about the Indian variant as it is similar to others.

Well said

Indian variant is no special

You just need to make sure that you don't have a jahil illiterate sarakchap ruling your country and you would be fine

Pakistan and BD made that sure that they are not ruled by a jahil sarakchap ghunda

Indians opted for a jahil ghunda and paid the price

Yes, it's more contagious, but it's not like any country will experience the similar scene as those in India.

Bangladesh is still a different country, if Indian variant had been so dangerous, why some Indian states controlled the situation better than others?
