Firing MG-3 LMG LIKE A BOSS...

This outdated lady should be retired right away. It doesn't compete with modern LMGs anymore.

I believe it is slowly being replaced by more modern systems. I'm not completely sure though, so don't quote me on that.

MG-3 is based upon the WW2 MG-42, one of the finest light machine guns ever produced.

Some firearms have been designed so well that like wines, mature with age and continue to be in use even after nearly 100 years. To quote a few examples, the ubiquitous Lee Enfield 0.303 rifles are still in use by reserve forces and police forces in many Commonwealth countries, including Malawi. In Canada the .303" and .22" models were being phased out in 2016 after nearly 120 years. Its later version is still considered very useful as sniper rifle.

Swedish BOFOR 40mm anti-aircraft gun its modernised form is still deadly. The US 0.50 Browning HMG called ‘Ma Deuce’ designed toward the end of WW1 is in the front- line use and likely to remain so for some time. Pakistan has more than 100 M114 155mm towed guns in her inventory. AK-47 was designed in 1947, however after 70 years it is still one the best assault rifles of the world.

Germans started manufacturing the 5.56 x 45 mm MG4 light machine gun in 2005, but Operations in Afghanistan highlighted the need for a heavier weapon.

MG-3 is an awesome weapon and likely to remain in Pak Army arsenal for the foreseeable future. Sometimes ‘Old is really Gold’.

But I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of it....would you

Even a "Charray wali gun" hurts you to some extent. Does it makes that fit for a modern infantry?

It was a great machine during its time. Now there are lightweight and dynamically better machines out there.

Complaining mg42 , They forgot about AK-47 which had been launched just after 5 years of MG42 launch.
