He had handled the economy after the remittances fell post PTI removal and gotten IMF program - yes rupee went from 175 to 225 but he had stabilized it and kept it floating on the market.

Unlike Dar- 225 to over 300 that we see now is the competence of N-league core. In fact, interbank rate is not the real rate either. Look at black market rate.

Really? Miftah is competent? I remember when he came in 2017, the country went to crap immediately. Same thing happened post IK removal when this idiot was in power.What competence has he shown so far?

Whenever he has come to power, things have gotten extremely worse which is why he has never held on to the position for long

This is your patwari myopicism that doesn’t let you understand the picture then. When he took over in 2017, Dar had already totally screwed up the economy. Only way out was to remove the rupee peg, and start correction. Ofc, he didn’t want to do complete correction so left the bulk of it for PTI.

When he came in power last time, with PDM govt, the remittances collapsed and the investments were withdrawn. That is because Overseas don’t trust the corrupt coterie in power. Still even with remittances having fallen, he stabilized the rupee and was at least following the right policies.

PTI had stabilized the economy. After they were removed overseas pulled out their investments and remittances and the rupee started to fall. Miftah let it fall and did the necessary to get back into IMF.
