What's new

Finally PML-N named 3rd power behind Islamabad lockdown

If that is the case, then Nawaz Sharif is looking valid excuse to escape now. Let's face it. There is the reason why military takeover was attempted in 2014 using dharna as background, but that was aborted due to the understanding between General Raheel and Nawaz. Since General Raheel is retiring that means other Generals might conspire similar military takeover through Islamabad lockdown/whatever you name it.

There is the reason why Nawaz Sharif didn't want General Raheel to retire. Democracy is in danger as Generals generally are not fan of democracy, and certainly not Nawaz Sharif either due to their past. It makes no sense for Nawaz Sharif to continue democracy with danger looming all around PMLN while General Raheel retires.

Clueless Imran Khan still has no idea that he is being used once again for the military takeover. Say good bye to democracy. It was fun while it lasted. :(

The way you type and use these useless emogies, it makes you seem like a 5 years old. I don´t think that anyone would like your opinion. So keep them to yourself.
You are calling this forum useless :o:
Mr King the world don't revolve around you. So Get a life. Every one have right to express. If you don't like it then :hang2: yourself

Nawaz sharif and whole team is going... They can't live without doing same mistakes. OK Goodbye Now :wave:
If he leave his ego, then democracy can survive. Let bring chaudhry Nisar as prime minister..

Today Talal Chaudry named establishment behind PTI Islamabad lockdown ,his press conference today. Seems Nawaz Sharif adopting same old path..confrontation.
This guy is not moving forward with new mindset 90s era politics cannot work anymore nawaz is culprit himself I support mushy only becoz he took this baboon out but I don't support mushy bringing another baboon altaf inn

with a civilian technocratic setup,

Can be an idea to do so but technocrats are not going to fit with the civilians from the same lot, I am afraid however, there are many other ways but it almost locks on Judiciary in the picture that hopefully, it may start to work as Military has given and built enough confidence among almost every institution. Wouldn't speak further. :-)

@bold.....I didnt mean...civilians technocrats from the same political parties..like national govt... No, i didnt mean tht...but rather ..technocrats , experts of diff fields, brought together under a Civilian president...something like, the first three years of Musharraf's govt...but with a difference, tht President is civilian, AND this time, genuine and ruthless accountability be done, for few years...and later we can have elections...

You are pinning too much hope on judiciary..even if military has given a nod, to them behind the scenes...still....i am not tht much hopeful....i hope you are right though.... First test of judiciary will come, on panama case... Lets see..then...tht case itself will tell, whether judiciary has any courage or not....but i am afraid..it will again be another ...dates after dates..type of case...though i so want to be proven wrong...

I am merely looking at possibilities and I wouldn't rely on single point to start with however, Panama Leaks etc cannot be done with justice when the alleged criminals are ruling the country so change of Government is mist to start with then it could be something beneficial from accountability to growing economy.

Rest about the idea of technocrats government, I stated the same possibility somewhere else/different thread that may be it will be like an action taken to form a care taker Government with specifically chosen people/official with no or less controversy as per observations to Government management and then it needs to be started first with cleansing and evaluation of people wishing to participate in elections. Conduct accountability, brought to justice, banned/jailed the corrupt lot and recover the looted money, a fair system be introduced for election and be announced so it may take 3 to 5 years which wouldn't matter a lot but at-least the system would be aligned to the right track and let's have elections. Rest about current judiciary, we cannot expect much under the supervision of the same Party which is involved in corruption however, Supreme Court of Pakistan can take a bit hard and bold decision through the trial on merit and can order Military for implementing and compliance of judgment if other institutes are too mich influenced with political elites but Military directly taking over the government is like what I stated in my previous posts here.

Yes... I also agree with what you have stated above, about technocratic govt...this is the only and best available option for Pakistan... A change of system is a must......and technocratic system for few years seems to be the only viable option....otherwise, i am afraid, if theres no change, and the current system, is allowed to continue, then things will only get worse, with each passing day, with no light at the end of the tunnel.... No matter how many times, elections are done.....these same ppl will keep getting elected...

I seriously hope, people in power echelons, the establishment, meaning the army, seriously consider this option of technocratic govt...because...its only with their support...tht it can happen..if army wants it and works behind the scene..to accomplish it...i hope they consider it very seriously...otherwise.......God help us...

Actually, it still comes to the law institution and courts have confidence in Military so they may ask for compliance of the orders but it has to start with proceedings and that is where Military cannot intervene nor it should otherwise would be blamed for nothing with usual grudge and political corrupts would be taking advantage.

Lets hope soo... I so....hope something for the better happens....because,,if nothing is done....then all of us are doomed...

Please, lets hope, our judiciary gets the courage...with nod from army behind the scenes..and eventually theres some technocratic govt...

There will never be any technocrat set up. The days of such shenanigans by the military are over.

The Panama Case against Nawaz has no standing in a court proceeding. There is no evidence. He will be acquitted.

Nawaz will probably win the next elections and keyboard patriots will be cursing him and his voters.

Doesn't establishment refer to the civilian government in Pakistan like it refers to in all other democratic countries?

Going through some of the comments here, it's kind of strange that establishment refers to the military establishment by default in Pakistan.

You seem to be one of the dumbest people I have ever encountered on this forum. How does some one reach the conclusion from my comment that I am calling this forum "useless". The way you use this emoticons is useless.

And world will never "Don´t" revolve around me but it "doesn't" revolve around me. And everyone doesn't "have" right to express, but everyone "has" a right to express. And I don´t like that a narrow minded person like has a right to express yourself , still I can´t :hang2:myself. If you are too eager then you can do it for both of us. Thanks
