BAJAUR AGENCY: An explosion in Bajaur Agency left six people, including three female teachers and two children, dead on Tuesday, Express News reported.

A remote-controlled device was placed on the side of the road in Tangi, Salarzai tehsil and exploded when a school van was passing by. The driver of the van was among the deceased.

The blast was so intense that the entire van was destroyed in the explosion. A passer-by was also injured.

Security forces have cordoned off the area and conducted raids to search for those responsible for the incident, however, no arrests were made until the filing of this report.

Words cannot describe the barbaric nature of this crime. This is not the first time the terrorists have shown their evil temperament by targeting little school going children. They have targeted children, women and elderly on numerous occasions. It is only safe to say that they heartlessly continue to cross all lines for the sake of achieving their terrorist agenda. We send our heartfelt condolences to the friends and families of the victims. We sincerely hope that they will find the strength to deal with this tragedy. We hope to see the perpetrators caught and punished to the fullest extent of the law.
