The doctrine of wajib ul qatal is part and parcel of Islam. It is part of Islamic law that anybody who insults the prophet should be killed. Muslims consider this to be a sacred and immutable rule.

Anybody who kills people for insulting Mr Mohammad is not some fringe lunatic, but is somebody acting well and truly according to Islamic law.

I qouted a book of maudoodi not for history but for understanding the concept of jihad and its rules in islam and also about kaneez concept. For the women sold argument there is no authentic reference for that and is plain lie.

Of course, the West did. They stopped adhering to barbaric religious laws, and founded societies based on rationalism and enlightenment and common sense. Christian countries do not kill people for wearing clothes of mixed fiber, or eating shellfish, or for being gay. All these are capital offenses under Judeo-Christian laws, but nobody imposes those laws anymore.

It is a good thing to stray away from barbaric old religious laws - that's called progress.

As for slavery and racism, do check out when Muslim countries abolished slavery - it was in the 1920s, and that too, solely because of Western pressure. Muslims had racist slavery as well, and in fact the Quran and hadiths have explicit verses about slavery. (So does the bible, but as I said, Western countries do not follow Biblical laws.)

Muslims did not invent most things we used today. The age of inventions and discoveries truly started after Europe underwent the enlightenment, and broke away from idiotic religious thoughts.

You say that "you guys" were determining if women were human - I'm not sure where you derived that from, but it is enshrined in Islamic law that the soul of a woman is worth less than that of a man. In your country Pakistan, when the Hudood laws were implemented, one man's testimony was considered equal to that of two women's. This was in the 1980s. And this was fully confirming to Islamic law.


Don't preach to me about women's rights or racism, because the Muslim world falls far short on those counts.

There are no verses about burning their bodies, only to kill. Is it the burning part that you wanted clarification on?

The Sahi Hadiths are full of verses exhorting you to kill people for apostasy, which includes abandoning Islam or one of the core tenets of Islam. Rejecting the prophethood of Mister Mohammed, or even his finality, falls under that banner. So yes, anybody who criticizes Mohammed is a blashpemer who ought to be killed. Blasphemy is an act of apostasy under Islamic jurisprudence.

The story goes on about how Mohammad sanctioned his disciple to use treachery to kill someone who had hurt Allah's apostle. Yes, this is also from the Hadith (Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 59, Number 369)


Yes, killing people for insulting the prophet or even denying his prophethood is well and truly part of the religion of peace.
